QA Lead (Individual Contributor)
* You will be joining a globally recognised organisation with a strong presence in the aviation sector, offering integrated solutions at more than 240 airports worldwide. * You will have direct influence on quality standards and processes, working closely with teams in Europe and Malaysia to deliver reliable technology platforms that underpin critical business operations.
What you'll do:
As a Quality Assurance Lead, your day-to-day responsibilities will centre around shaping the overall approach to testing across multiple products. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams located both locally and internationally to establish comprehensive test plans that underpin reliable release cycles. Your role involves acting as a trusted advisor on testing standards within the team while conducting advanced functional, regression, and performance tests aimed at early defect detection. You will challenge requirements during pre-development reviews to ensure all solutions are testable from the outset. By designing automated test suites within CI/CD environments and mentoring junior analysts on automation best practices, you will help drive efficiency across the delivery model. Presenting quality indicators to stakeholders forms part of your remit; you’ll highlight risks constructively while supporting leadership in understanding trends for process improvement. Through close collaboration with engineering teams in Belgium and Malaysia—and active participation in user acceptance testing—you’ll contribute directly to product stability and customer satisfaction.
- Define and refine comprehensive testing strategies for active platforms as well as new product developments, ensuring robust quality standards are maintained throughout the lifecycle.
- Establish detailed test plans, test suites, and documentation that support predictable release cycles and facilitate seamless handovers between distributed teams.
- Act as a central point of reference for testing standards and practices within the team and across related functions, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Conduct functional, regression, and performance testing with a focus on early defect identification to minimise downstream rework and enhance product stability.
- Challenge requirements and solution designs during pre-development reviews to ensure testability, identify gaps, and reduce future issues.
- Provide clear, structured defect reports with actionable guidance that supports efficient resolution and prevention of recurring problems.
- Design and maintain automated test suites within CI/CD environments, supporting team members on automation best practices to drive efficiency.
- Apply performance and load testing methodologies using tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner to ensure platforms meet rigorous operational demands.
- Present quality indicators and test outcomes to delivery leads and product stakeholders, highlighting risks, dependencies, and opportunities for improvement in a constructive manner.
- Collaborate closely with engineering and product teams in Europe and Malaysia to support seamless distributed workflows, participating actively in user acceptance testing.
What you bring:
Your proven experience as a Quality Assurance Lead will be instrumental in driving high-quality outcomes across complex technology platforms. You bring deep technical insight gained from over five years in QA roles—two of which were spent leading teams—where you honed your skills in manual testing as well as regression analysis. Having designed automated test suites within enterprise environments using CI/CD pipelines, you are adept at implementing best practices that streamline workflows. Familiarity with performance testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner ensures you can validate platforms under demanding conditions. Your proficiency with Azure DevOps enables structured defect tracking while your communication style adapts seamlessly between technical engineers and business stakeholders alike. You demonstrate maturity when prioritising issues amidst ambiguity; your collaborative nature thrives within distributed teams spanning multiple time zones. Mentoring junior analysts comes naturally to you—sharing knowledge generously so everyone grows together.
