.Net Developer

About: The client is one of the leading pan-Asian life insurance groups, with a strong focus on technology and digital transformation to deliver better experiences for customers and employees. The client is looking for a .NET Developer to join its technology team and contribute to the development, enhancement and support of business applications.

Key Responsibilities:
● Develop, enhance and maintain applications using C#, VB.NET and .NET Core.
● Translate business and user requirements into effective technical solutions.
● Prepare technical specifications and complete development activities within agreed timelines.
● Perform coding, unit testing, debugging and application enhancements.
● Analyse and resolve technical issues independently.
● Work closely with users and relevant stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
● Work with SQL Server, including database development and SQL query optimisation.
● Support SQL tuning and performance improvement activities where required.
● Understand IIS configuration and application deployment requirements.
● Apply strong Object-Oriented Design and Development principles.
● Ensure development work is delivered on time and according to technical requirements.
● Participate in other technology-related assignments and projects as required.

Requirements:
● At least 3 years of experience in software engineering/application development.
● At least 2 years of hands-on development experience with C#, VB.NET and/or .NET Core.
● Good understanding of Azure and cloud technologies.
● Strong experience with SQL Server and SQL development.
● Knowledge of SQL tuning and query optimisation.
● Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).
● Familiarity with IIS configuration.
● Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
● Able to work independently and meet development deadlines.
● Comfortable working in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment.

Good to Have:
● Front-end development experience.
● Experience working with Azure-based applications or services.
● Chinese and Cantonese communication skills.
● Exposure to application performance tuning and optimisation.
