• Mentor, guide, and develop a team of 5–6 Project Managers by nurturing a collaborative culture focused on delivery excellence and shared success.
• Oversee the end-to-end delivery of a portfolio comprising both technology-driven and business transformation projects, ensuring all initiatives are completed within agreed scope, budget, and timelines.
• Establish and uphold robust project governance frameworks, delivery standards, and best practices across the project management function to ensure consistency and quality outcomes.
• Work in close partnership with stakeholders from Business, Technology, Operations, Risk, and Compliance to define project priorities that align with organisational objectives.
• Proactively manage risks, issues, dependencies, and resource allocation across multiple concurrent projects to maintain momentum and mitigate potential challenges.
• Provide regular updates on portfolio progress to senior leadership teams by preparing insightful reports that highlight achievements, key risks, mitigation strategies, and areas for improvement.
• Champion process improvements by refining project delivery methodologies, enhancing governance structures, and strengthening stakeholder engagement mechanisms.
• Facilitate open communication channels between business units and technology teams to ensure everyone is aligned on goals and implementation plans.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging feedback loops, sharing lessons learned, and implementing enhancements that drive operational excellence.

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration or related discipline is required for this position.
• At least 10 years’ proven experience managing both technology-focused and business transformation projects within banking or financial services environments.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor or manage teams of Project Managers while fostering an inclusive atmosphere built on trust and mutual respect.
• Extensive background in overseeing enterprise-wide programmes involving cross-functional collaboration between business stakeholders and technology experts.
• Deep understanding of project governance principles including portfolio management techniques, budgeting processes, risk identification/mitigation strategies and change management protocols.
• Hands-on experience utilising Agile methodologies as well as Waterfall or hybrid approaches for successful project delivery.
• Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to build consensus among diverse groups including senior executives from various departments.
• Outstanding communication abilities—both written and verbal—that enable you to convey complex information clearly while inspiring confidence among colleagues at all levels.
• Relevant certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional), PRINCE2 or Agile credentials are highly desirable for this role.
• Exposure to digital transformation initiatives such as core banking upgrades or data/system implementations would be advantageous.
