IT Project Manager - SAP S/4HANA

About the Role We are seeking an experienced and results-driven IT Project Manager – SAP S/4HANA to lead enterprise-wide technology initiatives, with a strong focus on SAP S/4HANA implementation, system integration, and project delivery. In this role, you will manage end-to-end IT projects, oversee SAP integration with various business applications, and collaborate with cross-functional teams across multiple business units and regional offices.

Key Responsibilities

SAP Integration Management

• Develop and execute integration strategies for SAP S/4HANA and third-party applications across the organization.
• Coordinate system integration activities, ensuring compatibility, performance, and reliability between SAP and connected platforms.
• Define and manage data mapping, transformation, and migration requirements to ensure seamless information exchange.
• Plan, coordinate, and oversee integration testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and validation activities.
• Investigate and resolve integration-related issues, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations and maintaining system stability.

IT Project Management

• Lead the full project lifecycle from initiation to successful implementation, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
• Develop detailed project plans covering objectives, deliverables, timelines, resource allocation, and project governance.
• Manage project resources effectively while coordinating multiple workstreams and priorities.
• Track project performance, identify potential delays or roadblocks, and implement corrective actions where necessary.
• Ensure project deliverables meet defined quality standards and business expectations.

Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, vendors, and regional offices to ensure successful project execution.
• Facilitate project meetings, workshops, and progress reviews while driving alignment across departments.
• Gather business requirements, manage stakeholder expectations, and provide regular project updates throughout the project lifecycle.
• Foster strong collaboration across cross-functional teams to achieve shared business objectives.

Risk & Change Management

• Identify project risks, dependencies, and potential issues that may impact project success.
• Develop and implement mitigation strategies to proactively manage project risks.
• Prepare contingency plans to minimise project disruption and ensure business continuity.
• Support change management activities to facilitate successful solution adoption.

Project Reporting & Documentation

• Prepare executive-level project status reports highlighting progress, milestones, risks, and key decisions.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, meeting minutes, process documentation, functional specifications, gap analyses, and standard operating procedures.
• Ensure documentation is current, well-organized, and accessible for knowledge sharing and future reference.

Requirements

Experience

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience managing IT projects involving SAP solutions.
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA.
• Demonstrated success in delivering SAP implementation, enhancement, or integration projects.
• Exposure to manufacturing or industrial business environments will be highly regarded.

Technical Competencies

• Solid functional and/or technical knowledge of SAP technologies, including:
  • SAP S/4HANA
  • SAP Integration Suite
  • SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP)
• Strong understanding of enterprise integration technologies, including APIs, middleware, and data integration platforms.
• Practical knowledge of project management methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery approaches.
• Familiarity with system integration, data migration, and business process optimisation.
