VMWare Engineer (Banking)

As a VMWare Engineer, you will play a crucial role in providing support for our virtualization platform and servers, both hardware and software. Your responsibilities will include evaluating, designing, configuring, installing, and maintaining our virtualization platform resilience and recovery solutions. You will also have the opportunity to evaluate and recommend new hardware and software products, ensuring that our systems are up-to-date and optimized for performance.

What you'll do:

• Offer support for servers and virtualization platforms, including both hardware and software.
• Assess, plan, set up, implement, and manage resilience and recovery strategies for virtualization platforms.
• Assess and suggest new hardware and software to keep our systems current and operating at peak efficiency.
• Examine, maintain, and keep an eye on the system's performance and dependability to guarantee the best consolidation ratio possible and to prevent overcommitment and performance problems.
• Work together with partners and vendors to guarantee that software and hardware are supplied and configured in accordance with specifications.
• Arrange and carry out hardware, hypervisor, and capacity upgrades.
• To guarantee accurate and current records, maintain and update operational paperwork.

What you bring:

• Track record of success in virtualization engineering and a solid grasp of virtualization platforms and technologies.
• Proficiency in assessing, planning, establishing, setting up, and managing resilience and recovery solutions for virtualization platforms.
• Experience successfully planning and carrying out hardware, hypervisor, and capacity improvements.
• Understanding of server policies and security, as well as the capacity to successfully enforce them.
• Planning and implementation experience with disaster recovery is preferred.
• Relevant certifications in virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware Certified Professional) is an added advantage.
• Knowledge of the banking sector and its regulatory standards is a plus.
