Infrastructure Engineer (Banking)

A leading financial institution is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to manage and optimize its enterprise-grade IT infrastructure. This role requires hands-on expertise in Wintel systems, virtualization technologies, and compliance with regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring system performance, risk mitigation, and seamless change management while providing technical advisory across the organization.

What you'll do:

• Infrastructure Management: Maintain and optimize physical and virtual Wintel environments, including Nutanix hyper-converged platforms. Perform patching, vulnerability remediation, and capacity planning for Windows and Linux servers.
• Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure adherence to BNM RMiT and other regulatory requirements through regular risk assessments, documentation, and collaboration with audit teams. Implement mitigation strategies to address findings effectively.
• Change Management: Follow structured processes for system updates and configuration changes while assessing risks to minimize business impact. Provide technical input during change meetings.
• Technical Expertise & Advisory: Act as a subject-matter expert for Wintel and virtualization technologies. Troubleshoot complex issues, support end-users, and maintain technical documentation such as SOPs and knowledge base articles.

What you bring:

• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in IT infrastructure roles within financial institutions.
• Proficiency in Windows Server (2016/2019/2022), Linux (RHEL/CentOS), Nutanix AHV/Prism Central, VMware vSphere, Hyper-V, SCCM/Ansible for patch management, and Tenable for vulnerability management.
• Solid understanding of ITIL processes (change/incident management) and regulatory frameworks like BNM RMiT, ISO 27001, PCI-DSS.
• Preferred certifications: MCSE, RHCE, Nutanix NCP, ITIL Foundation.
• Strong analytical skills with experience in automation/scripting (PowerShell/Bash/Python).
• Excellent communication skills to manage stakeholders effectively.
