Associate Engineer (Microsoft 365)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Associate Engineer to join a highly respected Managed Security Services (MSS) team. This role is ideal for an early-career security or infrastructure professional who is passionate about Microsoft products.

You will be part of a knowledgeable team responsible for maintaining the performance and security of client environments across regions. This role requires fluency with Microsoft technologies, including Active Directory (AD), Entra ID (Azure AD), and Microsoft Purview and Defender. Shift work is required to support daily operations across ANZ time zones.

Key Responsibilities

In this role as an Associate Engineer (Microsoft), you will:

• Respond to service requests and incidents involving infrastructure technologies across on-premise, cloud, and hybrid environments.
• Provide operational support for Microsoft systems including Active Directory (AD), Entra ID (Azure AD), and Azure infrastructure.
• Communicate professionally with customers by providing timely updates on incidents, service requests, and changes.
• Collaborate closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver effective services.
• Ensure compliance with security policies, operational standards, ethical requirements, and client confidentiality.

Required Skills & Experience

To excel in this role, you will bring a customer-focused mindset. Key qualifications include:

Essential:

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft technologies
• At least 1 year of experience in IT engineering, IT operations, security operations, or a related technical role.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret event data across multiple platforms.
• Willingness to work shift hours supporting Australia/New Zealand time zones.
• Ability to thrive in a hybrid working environment.
