SAP Manager (SAP Treasury)

📍 Location: Malaysia (Selangor) 🕒 Employment Type: Permanent Our client is a well-established multinational organisation with a presence across 100+ countries, operating in a highly complex, multi-currency environment. They are undergoing continuous digital transformation across their SAP landscape and are looking for a driven SAP Treasury expert to strengthen their capabilities.

About the Role

We are looking for a SAP Treasury Manager to oversee and drive SAP Treasury-related initiatives across multiple integrated systems. This is a non-people-manager role, but requires strong leadership in guiding vendors, mentoring stakeholders, and ensuring delivery excellence.

You will act as a subject matter expert (SME) and play a critical role in solution design, governance, and vendor management, ensuring SAP solutions align with business needs.

Key Responsibilities

SAP Treasury & Solution Ownership

• Act as the SME for SAP Treasury (TRM), Risk Management, Cash Management, and Banking
• Understand business processes and how SAP solutions support them
• Conduct impact assessments, troubleshoot issues, and recommend rollbacks where required
• Drive design reviews and ensure solutions meet business and technical standards

Vendor & Stakeholder Management

• Lead and challenge external vendors on delivery quality and timelines
• Provide guidance and mentoring to internal stakeholders and project teams
• Ensure adherence to design standards, governance frameworks, and change control processes

Delivery & Transformation

• Drive adoption of DevOps / Agile methodologies within SAP delivery
• Monitor and manage change requests (CRs), progress, and delivery pipelines
• Improve processes for better efficiency, transparency, and scalability

Cross-Regional Collaboration

• Work with stakeholders across multiple regions and time zones
• Support global treasury operations in a highly complex, multi-currency environment

Key Requirements

Core Expertise

• Strong experience in SAP Treasury (TRM), including:
  • Cash Management
  • Risk Management
  • Banking
• Proven ability to translate business requirements into SAP solutions

Functional & Leadership Skills

• Experience in solution design review and governance
• Ability to drive vendors and hold them accountable
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Comfortable working in a matrixed, global environment

Systems & Tools (Preferred)

• Familiarity with:
  • SOX controls, ITIL frameworks, Change Management
  • Tools such as ServiceNow and Azure DevOps (ADO)
• Exposure to multi-system SAP landscapes (ECC, CFIN, MDG)

Ways of Working

• Experience or exposure to Agile / DevOps delivery models
• Ability to prioritize, manage competing demands, and work independently
