Senior SAP Support Engineer (FICO)

The successful candidate will serve as the senior escalation point for complex SAP Finance issues, ensuring operational stability, process continuity, and compliance within a highly integrated enterprise environment. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with business stakeholders, technical teams, and external partners while driving continuous improvement initiatives across SAP Finance support operations.

• Provide Level 3 (L3) support for SAP S/4HANA Finance (FI/CO) environments, ensuring stable and efficient finance operations across the organisation.
• Handle complex incident resolution, root cause analysis, and troubleshooting related to financial postings, reporting, payment processing, treasury operations, and statutory compliance.
• Support critical finance activities including month-end closing, GR/IR reconciliation, FX revaluation, asset accounting, and audit support.
• Manage and optimise integrations between SAP and external financial systems such as banking platforms, AP automation tools, and e-invoicing solutions.
• Participate in SAP upgrades, testing, process enhancements, automation initiatives, and operational improvement projects.
• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, cross-functional IT teams, and external vendors to ensure effective service delivery and operational continuity.
• Contribute to documentation, knowledge-sharing, mentoring of junior team members, and continuous improvement of support processes and service quality.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proven experience in senior SAP Application Support or SAP Finance Support roles within enterprise environments
• Strong hands-on expertise in SAP S/4HANA Finance (FI/CO), particularly in General Ledger, tax processes, payment management, multi-ledger, and multi-currency environments.
• Experience supporting finance closing activities and troubleshooting complex finance-related system integrations.
• Familiarity with finance integration technologies including Electronic Bank Statements, AP workflow solutions, and statutory reporting systems.
• Good understanding of IT Service Management (ITIL) practices such as Incident, Problem, Change, and Knowledge Management.
• Experience using enterprise ITSM tools such as ServiceNow or equivalent platforms.
• Strong analytical, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
• Exposure to SAP BTP, automation initiatives, compliance governance, or mentoring responsibilities will be an added advantage.
