Group Chief Information Officer (CIO)

Save job

A publicly listed and fast-growing diversified group is seeking an experienced Group Chief Information Officer (CIO) to lead its enterprise-wide technology strategy, digital transformation, cybersecurity, and IT operations. This pivotal role will focus on strengthening the Group’s technology backbone, driving ERP-enabled transformation, and positioning the organisation as a digitally enabled, future-ready listed enterprise.

What you'll do:
As Group CIO, you will partner closely with the Group CEO, Board of Directors, and senior leadership team to define and execute the enterprise technology and digital transformation agenda across a publicly listed, diversified conglomerate. You will oversee IT strategy, enterprise architecture, cybersecurity, data capabilities, and large-scale ERP transformation, ensuring technology acts as a strategic enabler of business growth, operational excellence, governance, and shareholder value creation.

• Shape and execute the Group’s enterprise-wide technology strategy and digital transformation roadmap in alignment with listed company governance standards
• Lead end-to-end ERP transformation (SAP preferred), including system selection, implementation, integration, and business process redesign across multiple business divisions
• Modernise core IT infrastructure, enterprise systems, and service delivery capabilities across the Group
• Strengthen cybersecurity governance, technology risk management, and operational resilience in compliance with public listed company requirements
• Build enterprise-wide data, analytics, and management reporting capabilities to support Board-level and regulatory reporting
• Partner with business leaders across diversified business units to identify and deliver technology-enabled growth and efficiency opportunities
• Establish strong IT governance, vendor management, and disciplined technology investment frameworks aligned to listed company standards
• Oversee strategic partnerships with system integrators, fintech players, and technology ecosystem partners
• Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing technology organisation with strong execution, governance, and leadership capability
• Engage with the Board, Audit Committee, regulators, and industry stakeholders as the Group’s senior technology leader

What you bring:
The ideal candidate is a commercially astute, business-oriented technology leader who combines deep enterprise IT expertise with strong governance discipline and transformation leadership. You are equally comfortable engaging at Board and Audit Committee level as you are driving execution across complex enterprise environments.
Key requirements:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related discipline
• 15+ years of progressive technology leadership experience, including at least 5 years in a senior CIO, CTO, or equivalent role
• Proven success in leading large-scale ERP transformation (SAP experience strongly preferred)
• Strong expertise in enterprise architecture, core systems modernisation, and IT infrastructure transformation
• Deep knowledge of cybersecurity, technology risk, regulatory compliance, and operational resilience within a listed company environment
• Experience in data, analytics, and enterprise reporting for Board and regulatory use cases
• Demonstrated ability to operate in publicly listed companies, diversified groups, or highly regulated environments
• Strong stakeholder management skills with credible Board, Audit Committee, and EXCO engagement
• Strategic thinker with strong execution discipline and delivery focus

What sets this company apart:
This is a publicly listed diversified group with strong ambitions to modernise and transform its enterprise operations through technology. With significant ongoing investment into ERP, digital platforms, cybersecurity, and data capabilities, the organisation provides a rare opportunity for a senior technology leader to drive enterprise-wide transformation at scale within a listed governance environment. The culture values accountability, performance excellence, and disciplined execution, offering a unique platform for a seasoned CIO to shape the Group’s digital future while enhancing shareholder value and operational resilience across multiple business sectors.
