What you'll do:

As Head of Core Banking, you will be entrusted with steering one of the most critical domains within the organisation’s technology landscape. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve orchestrating complex system implementations across multiple business units while maintaining close collaboration with both technical experts and non-technical stakeholders. You will be expected to nurture talent within your large team by providing mentorship and conducting performance evaluations that foster professional growth. In addition to overseeing project deliveries and quarterly releases, you will play an integral role in upholding audit compliance standards by working hand-in-hand with risk management teams. * Manage and inspire a diverse team of over 100 professionals including Tech Delivery Managers, Analysts, Developers, Production Support specialists, Release Managers, DevOps engineers, and Environment Support staff.
* Oversee end-to-end core banking system implementations for project deliveries as well as quarterly releases involving change requests and Level 3 production support ticket resolutions.
* Collaborate closely with Audit, Risk, and Compliance teams to ensure all deliverables meet rigorous audit standards and risk assessment requirements.
* Foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders such as Application teams, IT departments, Operations units, Testing Centres of Excellence, and Business teams to guarantee system stability through quality deliverables.
* Cultivate long-term partnerships with solution providers and vendors to ensure seamless integration and ongoing support for core banking systems.
* Mentor and lead the Core Banking team within the Centre of Excellence by providing guidance, motivation, and support to help each member achieve their full potential.
* Conduct regular performance reviews for team members while managing contract renewals for contract resources within the department.
* Plan, track, and monitor delivery timelines while supporting team members in their daily tasks to ensure milestones are consistently met despite changing requirements or unexpected challenges.

* Familiarity with Silverlake’s banking software suite or AS400 platforms would be considered an advantage though not strictly required.
