Azure Cloud Architect

About the Role We are looking for an experienced Azure Cloud Architect to lead the design, implementation and governance of enterprise-scale cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure. The role will focus on cloud transformation, architecture standards, security, scalability, automation and cost optimisation, while working closely with technical teams and business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
● Design end-to-end cloud architectures using Microsoft Azure across IaaS, PaaS and SaaS platforms.
● Develop cloud solution blueprints, reference architectures and technical designs.
● Ensure solutions meet requirements for scalability, availability, security, reliability and cost optimisation.
● Defi ne enterprise cloud architecture standards, reusable patterns and governance controls.
● Lead cloud migration, modernisation and transformation initiatives.
● Drive adoption of Azure-native technologies including AKS, Azure App Services, Azure Functions, Containers, Microservices and Serverless Computing.
● Guide engineering teams in implementing cloud-native and DevOps solutions.
● Support Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and CI/CD automation initiatives.
● Act as the technical lead and subject matter expert for Azure cloud solutions.
● Provide technical expertise across Azure Compute, Networking, Storage, Identity & Access Management, Security and Azure DevOps.
● Review solution designs and implementation approaches against enterprise
architecture standards.
● Troubleshoot and resolve complex cloud architecture and integration issues.
● Collaborate with business stakeholders, project teams, security teams and
vendors to understand technical and business requirements.
● Translate business requirements into scalable and secure Azure solutions.
● Present architecture recommendations, technical trade-offs and roadmap
strategies to stakeholders.
● Ensure Azure solutions comply with security, compliance and governance
requirements.

Preferred Certifications
● Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
● Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
● Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate
● TOGAF certification is an added advantage.
