Azure Cloud Consultant (Night Shift)

We are seeking an experienced Azure Cloud Consultant to join a global Managed Services team based in Kuala Lumpur. This role focuses on providing senior-level Azure expertise for complex infrastructure and platform-related issues while supporting customers during US business hours. You will act as a trusted technical advisor, handling escalations, delivering project work, and ensuring secure and well-governed Azure environments.

Key Skills: Azure infrastructure, cloud platform operations, technical escalation, troubleshooting, customer engagement, governance and compliance, PowerShell scripting, Azure networking, identity management, security controls, and Microsoft certifications (e.g., AZ-104, AZ-305).

What you'll do:

• Serve as the primary escalation point for advanced Azure infrastructure and platform issues.
• Lead technical investigations during major incidents, outages, and operational challenges.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex Azure-related issues across compute, networking, identity, storage, and security services.
• Provide proactive recommendations to improve platform stability, security, and governance.
• Act as the customer's main technical contact for Azure operations and service reviews.
• Mentor Managed Services engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.
• Support Professional Services engagements by designing, implementing, migrating, and optimizing Azure environments.
• Ensure compliance with security best practices through governance controls like RBAC, Conditional Access, and PIM.

What you bring:

• Strong hands-on experience managing Microsoft Azure environments in a Managed Services or customer-facing support setting.
• Expertise in troubleshooting Azure infrastructure technologies such as networking (VPNs, ExpressRoute), identity (Microsoft Entra ID), security controls (RBAC), and IaaS workloads.
• Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for administration and automation tasks.
• Proven ability to handle critical incidents in production cloud environments with excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Desirable experience includes delivering Azure migration projects, working with tools like Terraform or Bicep for Infrastructure-as-Code, and familiarity with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) or Arc solutions.
• Relevant Microsoft certifications such as AZ-104 (Azure Administrator Associate) or AZ-305 (Azure Solutions Architect Expert) are highly preferred but equivalent practical experience will also be considered.
