Azure Cloud Engineer

We are looking for an Azure Cloud Engineer to support and develop our hybrid IT environment. This hands-on role involves managing on-premises servers and Azure cloud services while ensuring security best practices and compliance with organizational policies. You will collaborate closely with the Senior Cloud Engineer to align systems with group strategy and scalability. Strong technical documentation skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues are essential for success.

What you'll do:

• Manage and optimize on-premises servers and storage for performance and availability.
• Design, deploy, and maintain hybrid IT environments integrating Azure cloud services.
• Configure and administer Azure services like Entra ID, Office 365, Virtual Machines, and monitoring tools.
• Implement security best practices across hybrid environments, including encryption and privileged access management.
• Troubleshoot connectivity and performance issues between on-premises and Azure systems.
• Stay updated on Azure technologies to recommend improvements.
• Develop disaster recovery policies and ensure data integrity through backups.
• Document change control processes for modifications to servers, systems, OSs, and databases.

What you bring:

• 5 years of relevant working experience
• Proven expertise in Microsoft Azure solutions (IaaS/PaaS).
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Linux, VMware/Hyper-V, Active Directory/Azure AD.
• Experience with backup/recovery strategies for hybrid environments.
• Excellent PowerShell scripting skills for automation tasks.
• Exposure to other cloud platforms like AWS or Google Cloud is a plus.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with technical/non-technical stakeholders.
• Relevant certifications such as Azure Fundamentals or Administrator (Microsoft/Azure certifications preferred).
