Cloud & DevOps Engineer

An excellent opportunity for a Cloud & DevOps Engineer to join a dynamic team in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This role involves supporting and expanding cloud infrastructure, automating processes, managing monitoring frameworks, and collaborating with global teams to ensure application reliability and scalability. Key Skills: AWS cloud technologies, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, Python scripting, Unix shell scripting, AWS Lambda, Git, Linux, PL/SQL, database management (Document-Oriented Databases preferred), monitoring tools (Grafana, PagerDuty), problem-solving, communication skills.

What you'll do:

• Collaborate with software development teams to enhance application reliability, performance, and scalability.
• Provide BAU production support by resolving issues identified through monitoring or reported by users before they impact business operations.
• Develop scripts using Python, Unix shell scripting, and AWS Lambda to automate tasks and streamline workflows.
• Design, implement, and manage AWS cloud infrastructure using GitHub and Terraform following best practices.
• Perform database queries and management tasks; experience with Document-Oriented Databases is an advantage.
• Configure and maintain monitoring solutions like Grafana and PagerDuty to ensure system health and incident response readiness.
• Occasionally participate in weekend production releases/deployments as required.

What you bring:

• 5+ years of relevant DevOps and Software Engineering experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; relevant certifications are a plus.
• Proven expertise in AWS cloud technologies, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, Git, Unix/Linux systems, and PL/SQL skills.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools such as PagerDuty and other industry-standard solutions.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying improvement opportunities independently or collaboratively.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for engaging technical and business audiences effectively.
• Ability to adapt to dynamic environments while managing multiple priorities efficiently.
