Business Intelligence Manager (B2B)
A leading global organisation is seeking a Business Intelligence Manager to join their team, offering you the opportunity to shape strategic decisions at the highest level. In this pivotal role, you will design and maintain business intelligence frameworks that empower executive management and key stakeholders with actionable insights.
What you'll do:
As a Business Intelligence Manager, you will play an instrumental role in driving the organisation’s data strategy forward. Your daily activities will involve designing sophisticated BI frameworks that provide clarity amidst complexity for executive leaders. You will transform raw data into insightful stories that inform both immediate actions and long-term strategies. By ensuring rigorous standards for data quality across all regions and divisions, you will enable consistent decision-making at every level of the organisation. Your expertise in trend analysis will allow you to anticipate shifts in the market landscape—identifying risks before they materialise and seizing new opportunities as they arise. Through close collaboration with senior stakeholders from various functions—including strategy teams, finance departments, and governance committees—you will ensure that every recommendation is grounded in robust analytics. Your ability to prepare impactful presentations will empower leadership with the information needed to steer the company towards sustainable growth.
- Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive business intelligence frameworks, dashboards, and reports tailored for executive management and key stakeholders across global divisions.
- Translate intricate datasets into clear insights, compelling narratives, and actionable recommendations that support both strategic planning and day-to-day operations.
- Ensure consistency, accuracy, and quality of data sources, key performance indicators (KPIs), and reporting standards throughout all business units and geographic regions.
- Continuously enhance BI tools, methodologies, and automation processes to improve efficiency in insight generation and reporting capabilities.
- Monitor and analyse macroeconomic trends, industry developments, technological advancements, and customer behaviours relevant to B2B markets worldwide.
- Conduct competitive intelligence exercises and benchmark analyses to assess market positioning, identify risks, uncover opportunities, and inform strategic direction.
- Identify emerging trends, potential disruptions, and growth prospects; translate these findings into strategic implications for the organisation’s leadership team.
- Prepare detailed strategic briefs, deep-dive analyses, and visually engaging management presentations for senior executives.
- Act as a trusted partner to executive management by facilitating cross-functional collaboration on strategic topics such as portfolio decisions and governance processes.
- Support governance bodies, committees, and review boards by providing structured data-driven recommendations that guide decision-making.
What you bring:
To excel as a Business Intelligence Manager in this globally recognised organisation, you will bring a wealth of experience from international B2B settings where your analytical acumen has shaped high-level decisions. Your academic background—ideally at Master’s level—will be complemented by hands-on expertise using advanced BI platforms like Power BI or Tableau alongside strong SQL skills. You are adept at distilling vast amounts of information into concise recommendations that resonate with executive audiences. Your interpersonal strengths shine through when partnering with colleagues from diverse backgrounds on complex projects spanning multiple geographies. A deep understanding of financial metrics combined with market research know-how enables you to spot patterns others might miss—while your communication prowess ensures those insights are clearly conveyed. Above all else: your curiosity drives continuous learning; your adaptability helps navigate shifting priorities; your attention to detail safeguards data integrity; your collaborative approach fosters trust among peers; your resilience ensures consistent performance even during challenging periods.
- Master’s degree in Business, Economics, Data Analytics, Statistics, Engineering or related field; MBA or equivalent qualification is highly regarded.
- At least seven years’ experience in business intelligence, strategic planning, market intelligence or corporate strategy within global B2B environments—preferably in industrials, technology or manufacturing sectors.
- Demonstrated proficiency with leading BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau or Qlik; advanced skills in SQL programming as well as data modelling techniques are essential.
- Proven track record of delivering executive-level insights through high-quality reports and strategic recommendations that have influenced organisational outcomes.
- Experience managing cross-functional projects involving multiple regions while collaborating effectively with senior leadership teams.
- Comprehensive understanding of financial metrics, business KPIs, market research methodologies as well as competitive analysis techniques; familiarity with automation or predictive analytics is advantageous.
- Exceptional analytical thinking skills with the ability to synthesise complex information into clear business narratives supported by strong communication abilities.
- Fluency in English (both written and verbal) is required; additional language skills would be considered an asset when working within multicultural teams.
- Ability to independently identify emerging opportunities or risks within global markets—and translate these findings into actionable strategies for leadership consideration.
- Personal attributes include curiosity about new trends or technologies; adaptability to change; meticulous attention to detail; collaborative spirit; resilience under pressure; unwavering commitment to data quality.
