What you'll do:

As a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst Sales Operations based in Kuala Lumpur, you will play a pivotal role in transforming raw business data into valuable insights that empower teams across the organisation. Your day-to-day activities will involve developing sophisticated dashboards using Power BI or similar tools; analysing diverse datasets from ERP systems, CRM platforms, sales databases; partnering with stakeholders from various departments; designing robust data models; optimising SQL queries; supporting ETL processes; promoting best practices in data governance; providing user training; and contributing to advanced analytics projects. Success in this role requires you to be highly collaborative—connecting people with information—and proactive in addressing reporting needs. You will be responsible for ensuring that all reports are accurate, consistent with business definitions, and delivered on time. • Develop and maintain interactive dashboards, reports, and KPI scorecards using Power BI or similar business intelligence tools to provide clear visibility into sales performance.
• Analyse data from multiple sources including ERP systems, CRM platforms, sales databases, and other relevant channels to deliver actionable insights for decision-making.
• Partner with stakeholders across Sales Operations, Finance, Marketing, and other departments to understand their reporting needs and translate these into technical specifications.
• Act as a bridge between business users and technical teams by ensuring requirements are clearly communicated and solutions are tailored to user needs.
• Design and maintain data models that support both operational reporting and advanced analytics while ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and consistency throughout.
• Optimise SQL queries for performance and efficiency when working with large datasets to ensure timely delivery of information.
• Support data integration efforts by collaborating with ETL processes (such as SSIS or similar tools) to extract, transform, and load data from multiple systems into reporting layers.
• Promote best practices in data governance by documenting KPIs, metrics definitions, and data sources while ensuring adherence to quality standards.
• Provide guidance and training to business users on BI tools and dashboards so they can interpret reports effectively and make informed decisions.
• Contribute to advanced analytics initiatives by performing trend analysis or supporting predictive insights using statistical methods or scripting tools like Python or R if available.

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science or related field is required for this position.
• Strong proficiency in SQL is mandatory as you will be expected to work extensively with relational databases and optimise queries for performance.
• Hands-on experience with Power BI is preferred but familiarity with Tableau or Qlik is also advantageous for developing interactive dashboards.
• A solid understanding of data visualisation principles is essential so you can present complex information in ways that are easy for stakeholders to interpret.
• Experience working with large datasets from multiple sources including ERP systems, CRM platforms or sales databases will enable you to deliver comprehensive insights.
• Familiarity with data warehousing concepts such as star schema or snowflake schema will help you design effective reporting structures.
