Shipping & Logistics Executive (Regional GBS)

A leading global multinational is seeking a Shipping and Logistics Executive to join their Regional Global Business Services (GBS) team in Kuala. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support transport and logistics operations across Europe and the Middle East, focusing on inbound and outbound sea freight activities.

What you'll do:

• Support inbound or outbound sea freight operations for Europe and Middle East markets by coordinating logistics activities across multiple internal and external locations.
• Plan and coordinate loading, consolidation, and deconsolidation processes to optimise efficiency throughout the supply chain network.
• Monitor shipment milestones, vessel movements, and delivery timelines while maintaining proactive communication with all relevant stakeholders.
• Create and manage shipments using a sophisticated transport management system, including shipment creation and processing in SAP to ensure seamless execution.
• Manage and validate freight cost management by ensuring charges are accurate, properly accounted for, and aligned with agreed contractual rates.
• Prepare, verify, and maintain comprehensive transport documentation such as draft checks, freight accounting bases, and cost controls to uphold compliance standards.
• Liaise closely with trade lanes and logistics service providers (LSPs) to guarantee service reliability and performance standards are consistently met.
• Ensure all transport activities comply with legal, regulatory, internal safety, and packaging requirements through diligent oversight.
• Support service provider performance reviews by contributing to process improvement initiatives, risk management strategies, and knowledge-sharing within the GBS setup.

What you bring:

• A diploma or degree in Logistics, Transport Management, Supply Chain or any related discipline is required for this role.
• Fresh graduates (with relevant education mention above) are encouraged to apply; 1–2 years of experience in logistics or supply chain is advantageous.
• A genuine interest in building a professional career within transport, shipping or supply chain operations on a global scale is highly valued.
• Strong attention to detail is essential for accurate shipment execution as well as precise freight cost validation.
• A structured approach combined with good organisational skills will help you manage complex logistics tasks efficiently.
• Confidence working with digital systems and data is important; prior exposure to SAP or other transport management platforms is considered beneficial.
• Excellent communication skills are needed for effective collaboration with regional stakeholders as well as external service providers.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English is required to facilitate clear interactions across global teams.
