What You’ll Do

As the Head of Contracts, Commercial & Procurement, you will be at the forefront of ensuring operational excellence across all contractual, commercial, and procurement activities. Your role will involve strategic oversight, risk management, and fostering collaboration across departments to achieve organisational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Contracts & Commercial Management:

• Oversee the full lifecycle of contract management from pre-award to post-award stages.
• Draft, negotiate, and administer contracts aligned with PWD and FIDIC standards.
• Manage claims, variations, EOT (Extension of Time), and dispute resolution processes.
• Provide strategic commercial advice to senior leadership teams.

Procurement Management:

• Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with corporate objectives.
• Lead sourcing, tendering, evaluation, and award processes with transparency and compliance.
• Optimise costs through value engineering initiatives while managing supplier relationships effectively.

Governance & Compliance:

• Establish robust governance frameworks for contracts and procurement activities.
• Ensure adherence to statutory requirements, company policies, and audit standards.

Financial & Cost Control:

• Oversee budgeting, cost planning, and monitoring for all projects.
• Deliver regular commercial reports to senior management while maintaining financial discipline.

Leadership & Team Management:

• Mentor and develop a high-performing Contracts, Commercial & Procurement team.
• Foster collaboration across Project Management, Finance, Legal, and Operations teams.

What You’ll Bring

You are an experienced leader with a proven track record in managing complex contracts and procurement functions within the Infrastructure & Construction industry. Your expertise in PWD and FIDIC standards sets you apart as a trusted advisor in this field.

Key Requirements:

• Degree in Quantity Surveying (QS) – Mandatory.
• Background or qualification in Law/Contract Law – Highly preferred.
• Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in large construction/infrastructure companies.
• Extensive experience handling PWD and FIDIC contracts.
• Expertise in contract administration, claims management, procurement processes, and commercial strategy.
• Familiarity with JD Edwards (JDE) or similar ERP systems.
• Strong leadership skills with emotional intelligence to manage large teams effectively.
• Excellent negotiation abilities paired with stakeholder management expertise.
