A leading global fast-moving consumer goods organisation is seeking a Senior Manager, Logistics Procurement to spearhead its international ocean freight procurement initiatives.

What you'll do:

As Senior Manager, Logistics Procurement you will play an instrumental role in shaping the future of global logistics for one of the world’s most respected FMCG organisations.

• Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive global ocean freight sourcing strategies designed to optimise costs, service levels, and operational efficiency across all regions.
• Lead all aspects of ocean freight category management including market analysis, demand forecasting, tender processes, contract negotiation, and performance management to ensure best-in-class service delivery.
• Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders across various functions such as Supply Chain, Planning, Operations, and Finance in different geographies to align objectives and manage expectations.
• Utilise advanced Excel skills and data analysis techniques to monitor market trends, analyse performance metrics, identify cost-saving opportunities, and provide insightful reports to senior leadership.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives by identifying process efficiencies and implementing best practices in ocean freight sourcing and operations.
• Identify potential risks within the global ocean freight supply chain including geopolitical impacts, capacity constraints, and regulatory changes; develop mitigation strategies accordingly.
• Ensure all sourcing activities adhere strictly to company policies, ethical guidelines, and relevant international trade regulations to maintain compliance at every stage.

What you bring:

To thrive as Senior Manager, Logistics Procurement you will bring proven experience navigating the complexities of international supply chains within large-scale FMCG environments.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or a related field is required
• Minimum of 8 years’ dedicated experience in ocean freight sourcing, procurement or category management within a complex global supply chain environment is essential for success in this position.
• Demonstrated ability to manage logistics operations spanning multiple time zones while collaborating effectively with stakeholders distributed worldwide is highly valued.
• Expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data manipulation, analysis, reporting as well as strong analytical capabilities to interpret complex datasets is required.
• Proven track record of leading end-to-end strategic sourcing processes including RFI/RFP development, negotiation, contract management and supplier performance evaluation is expected.
• Exceptional negotiation skills combined with outstanding communication abilities enabling you to influence at all organisational levels are crucial for this role.
• Strong problem-solving abilities paired with a proactive approach towards achieving results are important attributes for candidates applying for this position.
