A prominent multinational financial services organisation is seeking a Procurement Executive to join its expanding team in Kuala Lumpur, supporting procurement activities for the Hong Kong market. What you'll do:

  • Manage day-to-day procurement operations by processing Purchase Requisitions (PRs) and Purchase Orders (POs) from initiation through to completion, ensuring accuracy at every stage.
  • Support basic sourcing activities by obtaining quotations from approved suppliers and preparing straightforward price comparisons to facilitate informed purchasing decisions.
  • Coordinate effectively with suppliers regarding order status, delivery schedules, and documentation requirements to maintain seamless supply chain operations.
  • Liaise regularly with internal stakeholders across departments to ensure all procurement requests are processed promptly and accurately according to business needs.
  • Maintain comprehensive procurement records, trackers, and documentation in strict alignment with internal policies as well as audit requirements for full compliance.
  • Assist in invoice coordination by following up with finance teams when necessary, helping to resolve any discrepancies or outstanding issues efficiently.
  • Provide reliable operational support to senior members of the procurement team, contributing positively to business-as-usual procurement needs specific to the Hong Kong market.
  • Participate actively in process improvement initiatives by sharing feedback on workflow efficiencies and supporting the implementation of best practices within the team.

What you bring:

  • Approximately 2years of relevant experience in procurement, sourcing, operations, or another business support capacity within a structured corporate setting is highly desirable for this role.
  • Excellent communication skills in English are required alongside fluency in spoken Cantonese or Chinese (Mandarin), enabling you to interact confidently with Hong Kong-based stakeholders and suppliers.
  • A solid understanding of procurement workflows, standard operating procedures, and compliance requirements is essential for maintaining high standards of accuracy and governance.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining meticulous attention to detail throughout all stages of the procurement process.
  • Comfortable working within a process-driven environment where adherence to established protocols is valued and supported by knowledgeable colleagues.
  • Experience providing regional or market-specific support; particularly involving cross-border collaboration,is considered an advantage but not mandatory for success in this position.
  • Proven track record of building positive relationships with both internal teams and external partners through considerate communication and dependable follow-through on commitments.
  • A willingness to learn new systems quickly and adapt flexibly as the procurement function continues its planned expansion.
