A leading player in the fast moving consumer goods sector is seeking an Assistant Manager for Demand Planning to join their high-performing team.

What you'll do:

As an Assistant Manager, Demand Planning professional in this organisation’s vibrant team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the company’s ability to meet consumer needs efficiently.

  • Support the Integrated Business Planning cycle by consolidating demand assumptions, risks, and opportunities into a single aligned plan while preparing insightful analysis and presentation materials for key discussions.
  • Develop and maintain rolling sales forecasts across multiple time horizons (monthly, quarterly, annual) by SKU, channel, and customer segment to enhance forecast accuracy.
  • Analyse historical sales data, market trends, and demand patterns to identify risks and opportunities that inform strategic decision-making.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including Sales, Marketing, Trade Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, and Management—to gather inputs on promotions, new product launches, delistings, and market activities.
  • Work closely with Finance on sales value simulations and profitability analyses to support commercial objectives.
  • Monitor forecast accuracy and bias by preparing dashboards and reports that highlight key variances along with root cause analysis for continuous improvement.
  • Support weekly Sales & Operations Execution processes by monitoring short-term demand constraints and managing order fluctuations through effective stakeholder communication.
  • Assist in demand estimation for new product introductions, promotional campaigns, seasonal activities, and track post-launch performance to update forecasts accordingly.

What you bring:

To excel as an Assistant Manager Demand Planning within this esteemed organisation you will bring not only technical expertise but also a genuine passion for teamwork.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance or a related field—or equivalent practical experience gained through relevant roles.
  • Proven experience in demand planning or forecasting within the FMCG sector or similar fast-moving industries where agility is essential.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail when interpreting complex datasets or market trends for actionable insights.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate findings clearly across diverse audiences using both written reports and visual presentations.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel alongside familiarity with other data analysis tools commonly used in demand planning environments.
  • Experience working collaboratively within cross-functional teams—valuing input from stakeholders across Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain and Finance functions.
  • Understanding of integrated business planning cycles (IBP) as well as sales & operations execution (S&OE) best practices is highly desirable.
