Supply Planner (FMCG, APAC/China)

A leading global organisation is seeking a meticulous and collaborative Supply Planner to join their team in Kuala Lumpur, supporting the APAC and China regions. This role offers you the opportunity to play a pivotal part in ensuring the efficient and timely supply of finished goods (FG) for end market, directly impacting business success.

What you'll do:

  • Develop and implement finished goods supply replenishment plans to balance supply and demand across regional warehouses and stocking points using advanced planning tools such as Kinaxis Maestro.
  • Carry out medium to long term supply network projections to identify constraints and propose mitigations, feeding recommendations into the Regional Supply Review of S&OP processes.
  • Support short term deployment planners by facilitating resolution of any immediate constraints affecting product flow or inventory levels.
  • Own the process for finished goods stock allocation for the region based on forecasted demand, service level targets, and inventory policies to ensure optimal availability.
  • Ensure appropriate planning data is updated in line with global governance requirements including lead times, service levels, and replenishment parameters.
  • Develop and manage short-to-mid and mid-to-long-term production plans across multiple warehouse and manufacturing sites to end market ensuring alignment with demand forecasts and inventory targets.
  • Work closely with local supply delivery leads and planners to resolve capacity bottlenecks, raw material shortages, and demand fluctuations by identifying effective mitigations.
  • Track and analyse key performance indicators including plan adherence, capacity utilisation, service levels, stock turn rates, and forecast consumption while driving process improvements for enhanced planning accuracy.

What you bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business or related field is required for this role.
  • Experience in supply planning, replenishment or inventory management within FMCG, food & beverage or manufacturing industries is highly desirable.
  • Proven expertise in using digital planning tools such as Kinaxis Maestro or similar platforms is essential for effective performance.
  • Strong analytical skills combined with proficiency in supply chain software (Kinaxis Maestro preferred) and ERP systems (SAP ECC or S4 Hana) are necessary.
  • Business proficiency in both English and Mandarin languages is mandatory due to regional collaboration requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal are needed for effective interaction with APAC and global stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently within a dynamic global environment is crucial for success.
  • Demonstrated capability in risk management including identification of stockouts or overstocking situations is important.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams such as procurement, production planners or deployment leads enhances effectiveness.
  • Familiarity with sustainability awareness practices within supply chain operations adds value.
