An exciting opportunity for a commercially driven sales professional to lead growth in automation solutions. This Sales Manager (Automation) role focuses on expanding market presence, driving revenue, and delivering value-based solutions to customers through strong relationship management and strategic, consultative selling in a highly competitive industrial landscape.

You will drive commercial success for an automation solutions portfolio by developing strategic sales initiatives, strengthening customer engagement, and identifying new business opportunities. This role combines technical sales expertise with business development to position tailored solutions and deliver sustainable revenue growth in a competitive market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and increase market penetration
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities while expanding existing accounts
  • Establish sales plans aligned with overall business objectives and profitability targets
  • Build strong, long-term relationships with customers across the full sales lifecycle
  • Understand customer challenges and propose tailored automation solutions
  • Deliver compelling presentations, manage negotiations, and close deals effectively
  • Track industry developments, competitor movements, and regulatory trends
  • Conduct market analysis to uncover growth opportunities and customer insights
  • Build networks and channels to generate leads and strengthen market presence
  • Prepare and manage proposals, tenders, and pricing in line with company guidelines
  • Ensure proper documentation and smooth project handovers to delivery teams
  • Maintain accurate sales pipeline and customer data within CRM systems
  • Manage budgets within the assigned portfolio
  • Monitor receivables and collaborate with finance teams on collections and billing
  • Represent the business at industry events, exhibitions, and seminars
  • Enhance brand visibility and promote solution offerings
  • Identify process improvements to increase sales efficiency and effectiveness
  • Ensure adherence to safety, compliance, and regulatory standards


Key Requirements

  • Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in technical or equipment sales, preferably with exposure to automation solutions
  • Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets and managing key customer accounts
  • Strong commercial acumen with negotiation and contract management experience
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to combine technical understanding with solution-based selling approaches
