As an Area Sales Manager based in Kuala Lumpur, you will play a pivotal role in expanding the customer base across Malaysia and Singapore. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve connecting with clients from various sectors—food & beverage, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, surface finishing—and understanding their unique requirements. You will be instrumental in presenting innovative spraying technology solutions in ways that resonate with each client’s needs. By collaborating with internal teams such as engineering and product development, you’ll ensure customer feedback is integrated into future offerings.   • Identify new business opportunities by conducting thorough research, networking with industry professionals, and prospecting potential clients across Malaysia and Singapore.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with both existing and prospective clients by understanding their needs and providing dependable support throughout the sales process.
  • Conduct engaging product presentations and demonstrations that showcase the value and capabilities of advanced spraying technology solutions in an accessible manner.

  • Achieve sales targets set by the company through consistent effort, teamwork, and sharing insights via regular sales reports and forecasts.

The ideal Area Sales Manager brings proven experience from technical sales roles within relevant industries such as food & beverage processing, pharmaceutical manufacturing, chemical production or surface finishing. Your educational background equips you with deep technical understanding while your interpersonal skills allow you to communicate complex information gently yet effectively. You thrive when collaborating with others—whether it’s supporting clients through consultations or co-operating internally with engineering teams. Your fluency in English plus local languages ensures inclusivity when engaging stakeholders from different backgrounds.   • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Automation, Process Technology or equivalent qualification is required for this position.
  • Proven experience in technical sales or a similar role within industries such as food & beverage, pharmaceuticals, chemicals or surface finishing is highly desirable.
  • Strong technical knowledge combined with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly to non-technical audiences ensures effective communication with clients.
  • Excellent communication skills are essential for building rapport with clients; negotiation abilities help secure mutually beneficial agreements; presentation skills enable you to showcase solutions confidently.
  • Self-motivation paired with a results-driven approach allows you to work independently while also contributing positively as part of a collaborative team.
  • Fluency in English as well as local languages spoken in Malaysia enables you to connect inclusively with diverse stakeholders across the region.
