What you'll do:

As a Product Specialist based in Penang, you will play a pivotal role in connecting with healthcare professionals across various sectors. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve educating providers about key products through impactful presentations and interactive sessions. You will organise educational events such as CMEs and RTDs to foster knowledge sharing while actively participating in workshops, seminars, conferences, and exhibitions. Building strong relationships is central to this role; you will act as the main point of contact for healthcare providers, offering timely information and support. By identifying Key Opinion Leaders within your territory, you will help amplify brand presence and encourage product endorsement. Success in this position requires diligent follow-up on new leads, maintaining high call rates across diverse customer categories, and submitting comprehensive reports that inform strategic decisions. Upholding company policies and regulatory standards is essential as you collaborate respectfully with colleagues and strive for excellence in every interaction.

  • Achieve sales targets for your assigned territory by implementing effective strategies that drive product adoption among healthcare providers.
  • Educate and update healthcare professionals in both public and private sectors using engaging presentations, detailing aids, PowerPoint slides, videos, and other marketing materials.
  • Organise and participate in marketing activities such as Continuing Medical Education (CME), Roundtable Discussions (RTD), workshops, seminars, conferences, booth exhibitions, ensuring at least six CMEs and two RTDs per quarter.
  • Execute planned strategies in the field to increase market share while providing timely feedback on market trends and competitor intelligence.
  • Build and maintain strong rapport with healthcare providers by acting as their primary point of contact for accurate information and support.
  • Identify and nurture Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) within your territory to enhance brand presence, product endorsement, and usage.
  • Follow up on new leads within your territory to expand customer base and achieve daily call rates of eight calls per day.
  • Meet required call rates for customers in different categories: local specialists twice monthly; outstation specialists once monthly; medical officers once monthly; purchasers/pharmacists bi-monthly.
  • Submit all required reports promptly including Pre-Call Plans, Post-Call Reports, Territory Analysis, Action Plans, Sales Forecasts, Monthly Sales Reports, Meeting Decks.
  • Ensure all sales and marketing activities comply with company policies and local regulatory standards while demonstrating professional ethics and positive collaboration.
