What you'll do:

As Head of Commercial in Malacca, you will play a central role in shaping the future direction of the business across Malaysia. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve crafting innovative commercial strategies that drive revenue growth while identifying new opportunities for expansion. You will oversee complex negotiations for major contracts and tenders while managing a robust sales pipeline to ensure consistent performance. Building lasting relationships with enterprise customers will be key as you develop account plans focused on retention and profitability.   • Own executive relationships with key strategic enterprise customers by developing account plans that increase retention, share of wallet, and long-term profitability.
  • Ensure exceptional customer satisfaction through proactive engagement and close internal collaboration with relevant teams for service delivery excellence.
  • Act as the senior escalation point for critical customer issues by resolving commercial challenges swiftly and strengthening loyalty through value-led partnerships.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, Commerce, Management or related discipline is required; an MBA is preferred for advanced strategic insight.
  • Over ten years’ progressive experience in commercial leadership roles such as sales management or business development within multi-country environments.
  • Proven track record of delivering significant revenue growth alongside successful market expansion across Malaysia, Singapore or wider APAC regions.
  • Experience managing enterprise customers as well as regional accounts through effective relationship-building techniques that drive retention.
  • Strong leadership capabilities demonstrated by managing geographically dispersed teams focused on high performance outcomes.
  • Expertise in contracts negotiation processes including pricing strategy formulation aimed at maximising profitability without compromising customer value.
  • Deep understanding of ERP/CRM systems (Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred) enabling efficient process improvement through digital tools integration.
  • Willingness to travel regionally as required for business development activities or client engagement meetings.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders such as Operations or Finance ensuring alignment between commercial decisions & operational capability.
  • Excellent communication skills combined with analytical acumen allowing you to present complex commercial updates clearly to senior leadership.
