What you'll do:
As a Merchandiser based in Kuala Lumpur, you will be responsible for ensuring optimal merchandise availability in stores from product launch through sell-out. Your day-to-day activities will involve collaborating with various departments to plan inventory levels that meet both business targets and customer expectations. You will develop strategies for merchandising, sales, and production while continuously adapting these plans based on real-time sales data. - Ensure the right amount of merchandise mix is available in stores at all times from product launch through to sell-out by carefully planning inventory levels based on sales forecasts.
- Collaborate closely with Store Operations, Marketing, IMD, and Corporate Planning teams to align merchandising strategies with overall business objectives.
- Develop and execute comprehensive merchandising, sales, and production strategies while proactively revising plans according to actual sales situations.
- Adjust production quantities by SKU to optimise stock levels and respond effectively to changing consumer demand.
- Minimise out-of-stock SKUs by conducting thorough reviews and forecasting each item’s sales performance using detailed analysis.
- Maximise sales and profit as part of a collaborative team effort while minimising year-end inventory through strategic planning.
- Eliminate SKU out-of-stock issues by implementing robust forecasting methods and maintaining open communication with relevant departments.
- Monitor market trends and customer behaviour to inform merchandising decisions that enhance customer satisfaction.
- Support cross-functional initiatives aimed at achieving sales targets and improving operational efficiency.
