- Manage and nurture strategic relationships with key modern trade accounts including hypermarkets, supermarkets, and major retail chains by maintaining regular communication and understanding their business needs.
- Develop comprehensive business plans aimed at achieving sales targets, growing market share, and expanding product categories across multiple retail channels.
- Drive sales performance through effective management of both sell-in and sell-out activities in close collaboration with distributors and retail partners.
- Build strong partnerships with buyers to secure favourable shelf space, product listings, and enhanced in-store visibility for the company’s products.
- Lead commercial negotiations with key accounts covering pricing strategies, trade terms, and promotional planning to maximise mutual value.
- Plan and oversee the execution of trade promotions and in-store activations ensuring optimal return on investment and increased sales uplift.
- Monitor distributor performance regularly to ensure alignment with company objectives while maintaining efficient stock flow and coverage across all outlets.
- Oversee inventory management processes to maintain healthy stock levels across key accounts preventing stockouts or overstock situations.
- Drive new product listings and launches by managing listing negotiations, promotional planning, and coordinating in-store execution according to launch timelines.
- Conduct monthly or quarterly business reviews with distributors to track performance metrics, identify gaps, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Analyse sales data, market trends, and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities for the business while recommending strategic actions.
- Ensure timely payment collection from accounts while maintaining healthy receivables in accordance with company policies.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Trade Marketing, Supply Chain, and Finance teams to ensure seamless execution of account strategies.
- Resolve operational and commercial issues efficiently including order fulfilment challenges or pricing discrepancies as they arise.
- Undertake any ad-hoc duties assigned by management as required.

- Minimum three to five years’ experience working within modern trade channels specifically in the food industry showing proven ability to manage key accounts effectively.
- Demonstrated track record of managing distributor networks within modern trade environments including hypermarkets or supermarkets.
- Strong understanding of modern trade dynamics such as category management principles, planogram development processes, trade promotion strategies, and retail operations best practices.
- Excellent negotiation skills enabling you to secure favourable terms during commercial discussions with buyers or retail partners.
- Outstanding communication abilities allowing you to build rapport with internal stakeholders as well as external clients across diverse backgrounds.
- Effective problem-solving capabilities helping you address operational challenges quickly while maintaining positive outcomes for all parties involved.
- Good command of English language essential for clear communication.
