What you'll do:

As a Senior Key Account Manager, you will be entrusted with overseeing some of the most influential retail partnerships in Malaysia’s beauty landscape. Your day-to-day responsibilities will revolve around building trusted relationships with key accounts like Sephora, Watsons, Guardian and other specialty retailers. You will craft strategic business plans tailored to each partner’s needs while negotiating mutually beneficial agreements that drive both revenue growth and brand equity. By collaborating with marketing teams on impactful launches and campaigns—and ensuring flawless execution at every touchpoint—you will help elevate the brand’s presence in stores. Your analytical acumen will be essential as you monitor sales trends and KPIs; your insights will shape future strategies for even greater success. Working alongside diverse internal teams ensures that every aspect of the commercial plan is executed seamlessly.   • Develop and nurture strong partnerships with key retail accounts including specialty beauty retailers by aligning joint business objectives and annual planning.
  • Lead negotiations on commercial terms, promotional activities, product assortments, and visibility opportunities to maximise profitability and brand presence.
  • Identify new avenues for growth by analysing market trends, consumer insights, and competitive activities to recommend actionable strategies that enhance sales performance.
  • Deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets by monitoring sell-in and sell-through metrics across all assigned channels.
  • Collaborate closely with Marketing and Trade Marketing teams to execute impactful product launches, promotions, campaigns, and customer engagement activities.
  • Ensure merchandising excellence and strong in-store visibility through effective trade marketing execution in partnership with retail stakeholders.
  • Manage forecasting processes and inventory planning to optimise stock health while minimising excess or shortages across channels.
  • Prepare regular business reviews, performance reports, and strategic presentations for internal stakeholders and retail partners.
  • Monitor key performance indicators such as sales growth, productivity ratios, stock levels, ROI, and provide data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Work cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Finance, Retail Operations, Brand/Marketing teams as well as distributors to ensure smooth execution of commercial plans.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related discipline providing a solid foundation for commercial decision-making.
  • At least 6–8 years’ experience in key account management or sales roles within beauty, FMCG or retail sectors demonstrating proven ability to manage major accounts such as Watsons or Sephora.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Malaysia’s beauty retail landscape enabling you to identify market opportunities quickly.
  • Demonstrated track record of achieving sales growth through effective relationship management and negotiation skills.
  • Experience leading teams with an empathetic approach—coaching members towards shared goals while fostering a supportive environment.
  • Excellent communication skills allowing you to build rapport with stakeholders at all levels internally and externally.
  • Advanced analytical abilities for interpreting sales data, market intelligence reports and translating findings into actionable strategies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) supporting efficient reporting and presentation creation.
  • Self-motivated attitude combined with agility—adapting quickly to changing priorities without losing focus on results.
  • Well-organised nature with attention to detail ensuring accuracy in forecasting inventory planning or preparing business reviews.
