What you'll do:
As Trade Marketing Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the commercial strategy for the organisation’s portfolio within the FMCG sector. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve developing robust trade activity calendars that drive both sales targets and brand objectives. You will translate broad marketing strategies into actionable channel-specific tactics that optimise profitability across diverse retail partners. By formulating comprehensive trade sales plans—including distribution, merchandising, thematic promotions—and integrating digital strategies into traditional activations, you will ensure seamless online-to-offline consumer experiences. Your expertise in category management will be crucial as you lead market penetration efforts through space optimisation initiatives. You’ll provide planogramming support during major category revamps, collaborate with retail partners to enhance product visibility, develop standardised merchandising guidelines for effective execution, manage POSM deployment, conduct deep-dive analyses of channel data to evaluate brand performance, track trade spend for ROI assessment, monitor stock availability for new product launches, facilitate weekly alignment meetings between Sales & Marketing teams, partner closely with Sales Managers on category progress reviews, and lead major sales events such as baby fairs. Success in this role requires a blend of analytical acumen, creativity in problem-solving, strong interpersonal skills for stakeholder partnership, and a passion for driving commercial outcomes through collaborative teamwork.

- Translate overarching marketing strategies into channel-specific tactics designed to optimise profitability and maximise return on investment for each retail partner.
- Formulate detailed trade sales plans encompassing distribution, merchandising, thematic promotions, and integrate digital strategies for a seamless online-to-offline consumer experience.
- Lead market penetration initiatives through expert category management and space optimisation, driving increased visibility and accessibility of products within key retail environments.
- Provide planogramming support during major category revamps, collaborating closely with retail partners to improve both off-shelf and on-shelf presence of core product lines.
- Develop standardised product merchandising guidelines that ensure consistent execution across all retail outlets, enhancing brand recognition and shopper engagement.
- Manage the design, deployment, and control of Point of Sales Materials (POSM), ensuring materials are utilised effectively to support promotional activities.
- Conduct deep-dive analysis of channel and retailer data to evaluate brand performance, using insights to inform future planning and refine trade strategies.
- Track trade spend meticulously and perform post-evaluation of promotion effectiveness (ROI) on account productivity, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently.
- Monitor stock availability and distribution performance to guarantee speed to market for new product listings (NPD), minimising delays in launch cycles.
What you bring:

Experience with planogramming software will further strengthen your ability to support category revamps; familiarity with market research systems like Nielsen or IRI ensures you can conduct deep-dive analyses that inform future planning. Interpersonal skills are critical as you facilitate alignment meetings between cross-functional teams—Sales & Marketing—and partner closely with Sales Managers on reviewing progress. - Graduate degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related field is required for this position.
- Minimum 5–7 years of sales-related experience within the fast-moving consumer goods industry is essential for success in this role.
- At least 3–4 years of specialised experience in Trade Marketing is necessary to demonstrate your expertise in channel management.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications—especially advanced Excel and PowerPoint—is vital for managing data analysis and presentations.
- Experience with planogramming software is considered an added advantage when supporting category revamps.
