What you'll do:
As National Sales Manager, you will be entrusted with overseeing Direct Trade Key Accounts operations for a prominent consumer brand in Malaysia. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve guiding your team through strategic planning sessions with major customers, negotiating trading terms that foster trust and mutual benefit, designing impactful sales campaigns, and enforcing robust operational controls. You will supervise accurate reporting practices while driving O2O business growth by identifying new market opportunities. Managing KPIs will be central to your role; you’ll motivate your team towards achieving ambitious targets for Net Sales, GTN spending efficiency, and display excellence. Collaboration is key—you’ll work hand-in-hand with Customer Marketing for forecasting promotions and displays as well as coordinate closely with Sales Planning, Operations Team, and Supply Chain to anticipate market fluctuations. - Guide the team through comprehensive annual key account planning processes with customers, ensuring all objectives are clearly defined and met.
- Lead negotiations on annual trading terms with customers, focusing on mutually beneficial outcomes that support business growth.
- Design and implement tailored account sales strategies, display plans, promotional activities, and spending controls to maximise performance.
- Enforce policies, procedures, and controls that ensure efficient management of business operations while maintaining compliance with reporting requirements.
- Supervise timely submission of all necessary forms or reports by the team, guaranteeing accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
- Drive O2O (online-to-offline) business growth from assigned customers by identifying new opportunities and leveraging existing relationships.
- Manage key account-related KPIs using established systems and procedures while motivating the team towards achieving Net Sales, GTN (Gross-To-Net), and Display targets.
- Conduct thorough analysis on accounts to identify areas for improvement and develop actionable strategies that meet business objectives.
- Develop and implement both short-term and long-term strategies aimed at sustainable business growth within the direct trade channel.
- Collaborate closely with Customer Marketing Team for promotion and display forecasting as well as with Sales Planning, Operations Team, and Supply Chain to manage potential fluctuations.
