Save job

A leading F&B operator is seeking a Marketing Manager to support the launch of an exciting brand into the Malaysian market. Based in Kuala Lumpur, you'll lead strategic marketing, digital campaigns, and content creation to build strong brand awareness. Working closely with internal teams and external agencies, you'll drive impactful online and offline initiatives that engage local consumers and contribute to the brand's growth.

What you'll do:

As Marketing Manager based in Kuala Lumpur, you will be at the heart of driving brand awareness and engagement for a newly launched operation. Your day-to-day activities will involve collaborating closely with internal teams and external agencies to analyse market data, craft innovative campaigns, manage budgets, and execute both online and offline marketing strategies. You will take ownership of content creation—acting as a 'Content Guru'—and adapt messaging for diverse platforms while ensuring alignment with local consumer preferences. Success in this role requires you to proactively identify opportunities for improvement in branding communications, prepare insightful reports for management, lead digital content planning efforts, optimise advertising spend, and maintain consistent updates across all owned channels. Your ability to balance creative thinking with analytical rigour will be crucial as you help build a strong foundation for the brand’s growth in Malaysia.

  • Analyse sales data, market trends, consumer research, and brand performance to develop comprehensive marketing campaigns that align with business objectives.
  • Lead the planning and execution of strategic marketing communications across both online and offline platforms, managing budgets and timelines to achieve key goals.
  • Initiate branding enhancements and communication improvements to maximise efficiency, effectiveness, and value-added media spending.
  • Prepare monthly market analysis reports and communication updates to inform stakeholders of progress and insights.
  • Craft engaging messages for art direction briefs while also taking on copywriting responsibilities for various promotional materials.
  • Plan media strategies and optimise advertisements to ensure maximum reach and impact across all relevant channels.
  • Adapt brand materials for all touchpoints—both online and offline—to ensure they resonate with the Malaysian target audience.
  • Manage updates and communications through owned channels, maintaining consistency in brand properties.
  • Formulate digital content plans that reflect the brand essence using content calendars while maximising allocated budgets for boosted advertising.
  • Utilise media planning skills to optimise ads performance within digital marketing campaigns.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate brings a blend of academic qualifications, practical experience, interpersonal strengths, and technical capabilities. Your background includes formal education in business or marketing complemented by several years spent executing successful campaigns within either corporate or agency environments. You possess fluency in both English and Bahasa Malaysia which allows you to connect effectively with colleagues, partners, and customers alike. Your resourceful nature means you consistently find ways to overcome challenges while maintaining enthusiasm for achieving impactful outcomes. Adaptability is second nature; you embrace change as an opportunity for innovation within a fast-evolving start-up context. A growth mindset drives your desire not only for personal advancement but also for contributing meaningfully towards collective goals. Business acumen underpins your strategic thinking while problem-solving abilities help navigate complex situations. As an inclusive team player you nurture positive relationships built on trust, empathy, and collaboration. Analytical skills empower you to interpret data accurately so campaigns can be optimised efficiently. Proficiency with Microsoft Office ensures seamless communication through presentations or reports. Finally, your willingness to travel locally reflects dedication towards understanding market nuances firsthand.

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in business or marketing fields is required to ensure foundational knowledge of industry principles.
  • At least three years’ experience in marketing-related roles or advertising/media agency positions demonstrates your proven track record.
  • Excellent command of English and Bahasa Malaysia enables effective communication across diverse audiences.
  • Resourcefulness combined with enthusiasm empowers you to drive impactful results within a collaborative team setting.
  • Adaptability paired with an innovative approach allows you to thrive in an agile start-up environment focused on growth.
  • A growth mindset aligned with the company’s vision ensures your commitment to shared success.
  • Strong business acumen coupled with adept problem-solving skills supports strategic decision-making processes.
  • Inclusive team player qualities foster positive relationships within an empowered workplace culture.
  • Proficient analytical skills enable financial and operational analyses essential for campaign optimisation.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) facilitates efficient reporting and presentation preparation.
  • Willingness to travel within Malaysia—especially Klang Valley—ensures hands-on involvement in local market activities.
