Brand Manager (FMCG)
A leading organisation in Malaysia is seeking a Brand Manager to join their fast moving consumer goods team. This role offers you the opportunity to shape and elevate the image of renowned brands, working closely with a supportive group brand manager and cross-functional teams. You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic brand plans, driving creative marketing initiatives, and ensuring successful execution of promotional activities.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve crafting detailed marketing action plans aligned with global positioning while adapting them for local relevance. You will lead creative campaigns across digital channels, media platforms, public relations efforts, sponsorships, and on-ground activations. By collaborating closely with sales teams and trade marketing functions, you will design impactful channel-specific activities that drive distribution growth. Monitoring market intelligence will be essential as you analyse competitors’ movements and share insights with internal teams. Your ability to allocate resources effectively ensures seamless campaign execution while maintaining compliance with financial guidelines. Engaging consumer communities both online and offline will be central to your advocacy-building efforts. Success in this role requires a blend of creativity, analytical thinking, interpersonal skills, and a commitment to delivering results within agreed timelines.
- Organise brand review sessions and strategic workshops to identify key issues, opportunities, and direction for assigned brands.
- Strategise, develop, and implement comprehensive brand strategies and detailed quarterly marketing action plans with clear KPIs.
- Participate in three-year strategic planning processes alongside global brand teams to ensure consistent positioning and activation platforms.
- Develop localised brand activation platforms tailored to the Malaysian market environment and consumer needs.
- Lead the creation, implementation, and evaluation of innovative ATL (above-the-line) activities including digital campaigns, media outreach, PR initiatives, and sponsorships.
- Work collaboratively with the group brand manager to supervise annual media communication plans and optimise resources through full-year reviews.
- Monitor competitor activity and analyse market trends to provide insightful recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Support sales development by partnering with trade marketing functions to design channel-specific activities covering products, packages, merchandising, promotions, and activations.
- Supervise project implementation at outlet level with effective evaluation systems to ensure successful execution of campaigns.
- Allocate ambassador resources strategically to support campaign rollouts in the market.
