A leading global fashion retailer is seeking an Ecommerce Director to drive digital growth across APAC region. This role offers the opportunity to lead market-specific ecommerce strategies, enhance customer engagement, and accelerate online revenue growth.

What you’ll do

As the Ecommerce Director – Fashion & FMCG, you will lead the brand’s digital growth strategy across the APAC region. You will be responsible for driving market-specific ecommerce initiatives, optimising online performance, and delivering seamless customer experiences aligned with global business objectives.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop and execute ecommerce strategies tailored to regional market needs while aligning with global direction.
  • Manage online assortment planning, inventory allocation, and trading activities to maximise commercial performance.
  • Leverage customer insights and data analytics to drive acquisition, retention, and omni-channel engagement strategies.
  • Lead, mentor, and collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, merchandising, logistics, and IT.
  • Oversee end-to-end ecommerce operations, including digital campaigns, merchandising, fulfilment, and customer experience.
  • Drive revenue growth through strong commercial management, performance tracking, and P&L ownership.
  • Analyse market trends and business data to support strategic decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and consistency in brand experience across all digital touchpoints.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance processes, adopt new technologies, and improve the online customer journey.
  • Represent the ecommerce function in regional and cross-functional business initiatives.

What you bring

To succeed in this role, you will bring strong ecommerce leadership experience within retail or consumer-focused industries, combined with commercial acumen and a data-driven mindset. You are a collaborative leader with a passion for digital innovation and customer experience.

Key requirements include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum five years of experience leading ecommerce growth within retail, FMCG, or related industries.
  • Proven track record in developing and executing successful ecommerce and digital commerce strategies.
  • Experience managing cross-functional stakeholders and working within matrix organisations.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with experience building and managing high-performing teams.
  • Solid commercial and financial management skills, including P&L responsibility.
  • Analytical and data-driven approach to business planning and decision-making.
  • Strong understanding of ecommerce operations, merchandising, digital marketing, logistics, and customer journey management.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Adaptable, proactive, and passionate about driving innovation in digital commerce.
