Senior Legal Counsel

What you'll do:

As Senior Legal Counsel, you will be entrusted with significant responsibility for safeguarding the organisation’s interests across a broad spectrum of legal areas

• Provide comprehensive legal advice to regional entities operating ensuring all business activities comply with relevant laws and regulations.
• Review, draft, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts that support core business functions such as recruitment services, marketing consultancy, and healthcare/clinical related matter, office lease agreements, employment contracts, HR policies, and recruitment licensing matters
• Conduct thorough legal research on licensing requirements, regulatory frameworks, and corporate compliance obligations for both existing markets and potential new territories.
• Liaise effectively with company secretaries and external counsel on matters of corporate governance including board resolutions, director appointments, and annual statutory filings.
• Assist in dispute resolution processes by coordinating with internal stakeholders and external counsel on debt recovery actions and industrial relations matters.
• Lead and mentor junior members of the legal team by providing training sessions, ongoing guidance, and oversight on complex legal issues across the region.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Senior Legal Counsel position will bring substantial legal experience.

• LLB degree holder with at least 7 years of post-qualification experience (PQE), preferably with in-house legal experience.
• Strong knowledge of corporate, commercial, and regulatory law, with experience drafting and negotiating contracts, managing compliance, and handling corporate governance matters.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proven ability to engage internal and external stakeholders effectively.
• Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Highly detail-oriented, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills to ensure accuracy and mitigate risk.
