One of the region’s leading fintech group is looking for a high-calibre Senior Manager, Company Secretary to strengthen their corporate governance framework as the group scale its fintech ecosystem. This is an exciting opportunity to operate at the intersection of governance, innovation, and rapid business growth, supporting a fast-moving digital financial services environment.

What you’ll do

As a Senior Manager, Company Secretary, you will play a critical role in ensuring robust corporate governance and compliance across the group and its subsidiaries. You will partner closely with senior leadership, legal, risk, and business teams to support strategic initiatives and maintain regulatory excellence in a dynamic fintech landscape.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead and enhance corporate secretarial practices, policies, and frameworks aligned with fintech and regulatory developments
  • Provide end-to-end board and committee support, including agenda planning, board papers, and high-quality minutes
  • Act as a trusted advisor to the Board and senior management on governance, compliance, and statutory matters
  • Support corporate exercises, strategic initiatives, and group-wide projects, including new business ventures and partnerships
  • Drive improvements in governance processes, including digitalisation of secretarial and contract lifecycle management tools
  • Ensure compliance with Bursa, Companies Act, and relevant regulatory requirements (e.g. BNM, fintech-related guidelines where applicable)
  • Manage subsidiary governance and coordinate across multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment

What you bring

You are a seasoned corporate secretarial professional who thrives in high-growth, agile environments. You bring both technical expertise and the ability to navigate complexity while maintaining strong governance standards.

  • MAICSA / CGQP (or equivalent) qualification
  • Minimum 10 years of corporate secretarial experience, preferably within financial services, fintech, or regulated industries. Candidates with IPO/listing requirement work experience will be viewed favorably
  • Strong understanding of corporate governance, regulatory frameworks, and board practices
  • Experience supporting complex organisations or group structures is highly advantageous
  • Excellent command of English and Bahasa Malaysia (written and spoken)
  • High level of independence, with the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight timelines
  • Proactive, adaptable, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, digital-first environment
