Head/AGM, Legal (Investment / Legal Advisory)

This is a senior legal deal partner for all investment activities and you will lead investment legal strategy across domestic and global portfolios, ensuring every transaction is legally sound, commercially sharp, and aligned with the company’s mandate, governance, and risk appetite. You are the legal authority behind the company’s investments—enabling execution, protecting value, and advising at the highest levels.

What You’ll Do

• Lead investment legal execution across listed equity, private equity, real estate, infrastructure, and fixed income (shariah & non‑shariah).
• Structure, negotiate, and close complex transactions, including LPAs, SPAs, SHAs, JV agreements, financings, bonds, sukuk, and M&A deals.
• Manage legal risk and regulatory compliance, including cross‑border requirements.
• Advise Management, Investment Committees, and Board on high‑impact legal and governance matters.
• Lead and develop the company’s investment legal team, and manage external counsel locally and globally.
• Act as a bridge between legal, commercial, and regulatory stakeholders to support timely, high‑quality investment decisions.

Requirements

• LLB (Honours) or equivalent
• 15+ years’ legal experience (investment / corporate / commercial)
• 5–7 years leading in‑house legal teams
• Strong domestic & cross‑border deal experience
• Fluent in English and Bahasa Melayu
• Malaysian citizen
