What you'll do:
As a Payroll Manager based in Kuala Lumpur, you will be entrusted with overseeing the entire payroll cycle for a large workforce. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include managing sensitive data with care, collaborating across departments to ensure accuracy in all aspects of payroll administration, and responding thoughtfully to employee enquiries. You will prepare comprehensive reports for management while keeping abreast of regulatory changes that impact payroll operations. Your role will also involve supporting system enhancements by sharing insights during implementation phases and helping colleagues adapt to new processes. * Collaborate closely with Human Resources and Finance teams to ensure all payroll data is up-to-date, confidentially managed, and accurately reflected in financial records.
* Respond promptly and empathetically to employee queries regarding payroll matters, providing clear explanations and support as needed.
* Prepare detailed payroll reports for management review, highlighting key trends and identifying areas for improvement or efficiency gains.
* Ensure all statutory deductions such as EPF, SOCSO, EIS, tax submissions, and other regulatory requirements are processed correctly and on time.
* Maintain meticulous records of payroll transactions in accordance with internal policies and audit standards.
* Support the implementation of new payroll systems or upgrades by participating in testing phases, providing feedback, and assisting with staff training.
* Stay informed about changes in employment law or statutory regulations affecting payroll processes, proactively updating procedures as necessary.
* Assist with year-end activities including preparation of EA forms, annual reconciliations, and audits related to payroll functions.
