What you'll do:
As a Sales Executive – Independent & Mini Chain Accounts (Optical), based in Kuala Lumpur, you will play a pivotal role in driving sales performance across your assigned territory. Your day-to-day activities will involve connecting with customers from various backgrounds—trade customers, consumers, distributors—and fostering long-term relationships built on trust and reliability. You will plan your daily calls strategically using customer profiles to maximise engagement opportunities. By preparing persuasive presentations and utilising CRM systems like Salesforce.com, you will track progress against sales targets while keeping inventory levels optimised. Executing promotional campaigns will be central to your role as you secure merchandising space in outlets and increase product visibility. Operational support is key; you’ll handle everything from order processing to managing returns and addressing consumer complaints efficiently. Reporting adverse events promptly ensures compliance and maintains the integrity of the brand. - Build and nurture dependable business relationships with trade customers, consumers, and distributors by providing attentive support and gathering valuable business intelligence.
- Develop daily call planning routines based on customer profiles and classifications within your designated area, ensuring effective journey planning and persuasive selling objectives.
- Prepare engaging presentations using Persuasive Selling Skills (PSS) techniques and ensure all sales equipment is ready for impactful meetings with clients.
- Utilise CRM tools such as Salesforce.com to manage selling objectives, monitor inventory levels, and generate sell-through status reports for outlets within your territory.
- Execute quarterly promotional objectives by delivering PSS presentations that highlight product benefits and drive customer engagement.
- Secure or maintain merchandising space in territory outlets by promoting products with Sales & Marketing point-of-sale materials (POSMs), enhancing visibility and customer interest.
- Increase customer share of spend for products by aligning with throughput trends in territory outlets, contributing to overall sales volume responsibility.
- Provide operational support to customers by understanding administrative processes related to sales ordering, product exchanges, returns, consumer complaints, credit terms, and sales collection.
- Promptly report any adverse events or product complaints related to products to relevant authorities, ensuring compliance with company policies and maintaining customer trust.
- Perform other ad-hoc tasks as assigned by management, demonstrating flexibility and willingness to support team goals.
