Medical Sales Representative (Central + Pahang)
A leading global pharmaceutical company is seeking a Medical Sales Representative to join its Dermatology team, covering hospitals across Central Kuala Lumpur and Pahang. What You'll Do
As a Medical Sales Representative within the Dermatology portfolio, you will be responsible for driving product adoption and achieving sales objectives across your assigned hospital territory. Working closely with dermatologists, pharmacists, specialists, and other healthcare professionals, you will build trusted partnerships through scientific discussions, product education, and effective territory management.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Develop and execute strategic territory business plans to achieve assigned sales targets within the dermatology portfolio.
- Build and strengthen relationships with dermatologists, hospital specialists, pharmacists, and other key decision-makers across government and private hospitals.
- Identify new business opportunities while expanding product utilisation within existing hospital accounts.
- Deliver compelling scientific product presentations and clinical updates to healthcare professionals.
- Organise and coordinate Continuing Medical Education (CME) programmes, hospital meetings, product launches, workshops, and educational events.
- Collaborate closely with internal cross-functional teams to execute sales and marketing initiatives effectively.
- Maintain accurate sales call records, activity reports, and territory updates through the company's CRM system.
- Monitor competitor activities, market developments, and customer insights to identify growth opportunities and optimise territory performance.
- Ensure all promotional activities are conducted ethically and in full compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
- Represent the company professionally while delivering exceptional customer service and building long-term partnerships with healthcare professionals.
What You Bring
The successful candidate is passionate about healthcare, relationship building, and scientific selling. You enjoy engaging with specialists, are commercially driven, and thrive in a dynamic hospital sales environment.
You will ideally possess:
- A Degree or Diploma in Science, Pharmacy, Biomedical Science, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 2 years of pharmaceutical or medical sales experience, preferably within the hospital channel.
- Experience promoting specialty care products such as Dermatology, Immunology, or other specialty therapeutic areas is advantageous.
- Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage healthcare professionals confidently.
- Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
- Self-motivated, organised, and results-driven with strong territory planning capabilities.
- A valid Malaysian driving licence and willingness to travel extensively within Central Kuala Lumpur and Pahang.
- Flexibility to support educational meetings, congresses, workshops, and occasional weekend events when required.
