What you'll do:
As a Medical Affairs Executive or Associate based in Petaling Jaya, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the organisation’s portfolio across Women's Health and Men's Health. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve acting as a dependable source of scientific information for both internal teams—such as Sales, Marketing, Business Development—and external stakeholders including healthcare professionals. You will be instrumental in reviewing educational materials for accuracy, responding thoughtfully to medical queries, coordinating impactful educational events like advisory boards or congresses, delivering insightful presentations, conducting literature reviews to stay abreast of new developments in relevant therapeutic areas, building strong relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), assisting with research initiatives when needed, collaborating with global colleagues on strategic projects, and ensuring all activities comply with regulatory requirements. - Provide comprehensive scientific and medical support to internal teams such as Sales, Marketing, and Business Development by sharing up-to-date knowledge and insights.
- Review and validate promotional and educational materials to ensure they meet stringent medical accuracy standards as well as compliance with local regulations and company policies.
- Respond promptly and professionally to medical information inquiries from healthcare professionals and other stakeholders, ensuring clarity and reliability in all communications.
- Support the planning, coordination, and execution of medical education programmes, advisory boards, scientific meetings, and congress activities that foster knowledge sharing.
- Develop engaging scientific presentations and deliver training programmes for both internal colleagues and external audiences to promote understanding of key therapeutic areas.
- Conduct thorough literature reviews while maintaining current awareness of developments in Women's Health and Men's Health to inform strategic decisions.
- Establish and nurture professional relationships with healthcare professionals and key opinion leaders (KOLs), facilitating open communication channels for feedback and collaboration.
- Assist with medical research initiatives, clinical studies, and post-marketing activities by providing scientific input where applicable.
- Collaborate effectively with regional and global medical affairs teams on various scientific projects as well as strategic initiatives that drive organisational goals.
- Ensure all medical affairs activities adhere strictly to applicable regulations, industry codes of practice, and company policies for ethical conduct.
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for the Medical Affairs Executive or Associate position brings proven experience from either internships or early-career roles within Medical Affairs Clinical Research Medical Information or related fields. Your academic background includes a recognised Medical Degree (MBBS or MD) which equips you with robust scientific knowledge necessary for interpreting complex literature communicating findings effectively developing educational content reviewing promotional materials responding accurately to stakeholder queries supporting research initiatives participating actively in cross-functional collaborations building relationships with KOLs contributing meaningfully during advisory boards congresses training sessions maintaining compliance throughout all activities. Your interpersonal skills are evident when engaging colleagues across departments—Sales Marketing Business Development—as well as external partners such as healthcare professionals regulatory authorities global teams. - Mandatory: You possess a Medical Degree (MBBS or MD) from a recognised university which forms the foundation of your scientific expertise.
- You have completed relevant internships or gained 1–2 years of experience in Medical Affairs, Clinical Research, Medical Information or related pharmaceutical/healthcare roles.
- Ideally you bring 1–2 years of relevant experience within the pharmaceutical industry or biotechnology sector; experience in medical device or broader healthcare settings is also valued.
- Exposure to Women's Health or Men's Health therapeutic areas is considered an advantage but not essential; willingness to learn is highly regarded.
- Your strong scientific knowledge enables you to interpret complex literature effectively while communicating findings clearly.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English allow you to engage confidently with diverse stakeholders including healthcare professionals.
- You demonstrate proficiency in interpreting scientific literature accurately so that information can be shared responsibly with others.
- Strong presentation skills enable you to deliver engaging training sessions for both internal teams as well as external audiences such as KOLs.
- Stakeholder management comes naturally; you are able to build trust-based relationships through empathy and responsiveness.
