As a Medical Writer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping how scientific information is communicated within the healthcare sector. - Acquire and maintain an in-depth understanding of clients’ brand portfolios to provide insightful advice on medical communications solutions tailored to their needs.
- Utilise your scientific expertise to develop high-quality content that meets client objectives while adhering strictly to compliance and editorial quality standards.
- Engage with key opinion leaders in relevant therapeutic areas, building strong relationships to ensure the successful delivery of medical communications projects.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams to share knowledge and ensure seamless project execution across multiple stakeholders.
- Facilitate or support advisory boards, scientific meetings, webinars, and other events as required by client projects.
- Translate complex scientific data into clear, concise messages suitable for various audiences including healthcare professionals and policy makers.
- Demonstrate meticulous attention to detail when reviewing and editing content to uphold the highest editorial standards.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in medical writing and communications to continually enhance the quality of deliverables.

What you bring:
To excel as a Medical Writer in this organisation, you will bring proven experience from either a medical communications agency or pharmaceutical Medical Affairs background. Your academic credentials should include an advanced degree in life sciences or healthcare-related fields. You are adept at managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining exceptional attention to detail throughout the editorial process. Your interpersonal skills enable you to collaborate effectively with both internal colleagues and external stakeholders such as key opinion leaders. Fluency in English allows you to communicate complex ideas clearly across various formats. A passion for continuous learning ensures you stay current with industry developments while contributing positively to team initiatives. Your commitment to supporting others makes you an invaluable member of any collaborative group focused on delivering outstanding results.
- A graduate degree in the sciences such as PhD, MSc or BSc; additional qualifications like MD, PharmD or BPharm are considered advantageous for this role.
- At least three years of experience in scientific or medical writing within a medical communications agency or pharmaceutical Medical Affairs setting is highly preferred.
- Proven experience running or facilitating advisory boards, scientific meetings, webinars or similar events is strongly desired.
- Complete fluency in written and spoken English is essential; an IELTS score of 7.5 or above (or equivalent) is required for effective communication.
- Exceptional ability to distil complex scientific concepts into clear, concise messages suitable for diverse audiences is crucial for success.
- Meticulous attention to detail when reviewing content ensures adherence to editorial quality standards at all times.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications is necessary for efficient document preparation and collaboration.
