- Establish and maintain trusted scientific relationships with key opinion leaders, healthcare professionals, and academic institutions within the oncology community.
- Deliver accurate, balanced, and up-to-date scientific information on oncology products to support evidence-based clinical decisions.
- Facilitate scientific exchange by organising and participating in advisory boards, symposia, educational meetings, and congresses relevant to oncology.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including medical affairs, regulatory affairs, marketing, sales, and market access to ensure alignment of medical strategies.
- Identify clinical data gaps and provide valuable insights from the field to inform research priorities and product lifecycle management.
- Support investigator-initiated studies by providing guidance on study design, protocol development, and ongoing project management.
- Respond promptly to unsolicited medical enquiries from healthcare professionals regarding oncology therapies, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Assist in the development of medical education materials and resources tailored for healthcare providers involved in cancer care.
- Monitor emerging trends in oncology research and communicate relevant updates internally to enhance organisational knowledge.
- Contribute to the planning and execution of new product launches by sharing field-based insights on unmet needs and stakeholder perspectives.
What you bring:
To excel as a Medical Science Liaison Oncology you will bring proven experience from the pharmaceutical or healthcare sector—ideally within oncology or another specialised therapeutic area. Your background should include building trusted relationships with clinicians or researchers through clear communication grounded in scientific integrity. A solid understanding of clinical trial processes along with familiarity interpreting complex datasets will allow you to provide valuable insights that drive better patient outcomes. Your interpersonal skills will shine as you collaborate across multidisciplinary teams while remaining sensitive to differing viewpoints. - Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Medicine or related discipline is required for this role.
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience working within pharmaceuticals, healthcare or medical devices—preferably with exposure to oncology or related therapeutic areas.
- Demonstrated ability to build rapport with key opinion leaders and healthcare professionals through empathetic communication and scientific credibility.
- Strong analytical skills enabling you to interpret clinical data effectively and translate findings into actionable insights for both internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities allowing you to present complex information clearly during meetings or educational sessions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) is essential for preparing reports, presentations, and educational materials.
- Experience supporting investigator-initiated studies or clinical trials would be advantageous but not mandatory.
- A collaborative approach combined with sensitivity towards diverse perspectives ensures successful teamwork across departments.
