An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Business Analyst to play a pivotal role in the successful rollout and adoption of a cutting-edge Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) platform. You will be at the forefront of implementing Kiplot or similar SPM solutions, collaborating with diverse stakeholders, and shaping best practices that will have a lasting impact on business performance.

As a Business Analyst Strategic Portfolio Management based in Kuala Lumpur, you will immerse yourself in a transformative journey focused on implementing an advanced SPM platform across multiple markets. Your day-to-day responsibilities include :

  • Lead comprehensive business analysis activities throughout the end-to-end implementation of the Kiplot platform, ensuring all deliverables align with strategic objectives.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for Kiplot, maintaining deep knowledge of its features, configuration options, and integration capabilities to maximise value for users.
  • Collaborate extensively with both group-level and market-specific stakeholders to gather, analyse, and document detailed business requirements that align with organisational goals.
  • Partner directly with external vendors to configure Kiplot for optimal reporting functionality, benefit tracking accuracy, and robust portfolio governance processes.
  • Drive critical data remediation and migration efforts to ensure that all information within Kiplot is accurate, clean, and ready for effective use across the organisation.
  • Facilitate engaging workshops, demonstrations, and training sessions designed to build capability within market teams and encourage widespread adoption of new tools.
  • Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) cycles and support release validation activities to guarantee smooth transitions from legacy systems to the new platform.
  • Maintain thorough documentation throughout the project lifecycle to ensure requirements traceability and compliance with internal standards.
  • Identify potential risks, issues, or dependencies related to business requirements or tool implementation early on and manage them proactively through effective communication.
  • Provide ongoing mentorship and guidance to market analysts and enablers, fostering a strong community of practice around SPM tool usage.

The ideal candidate for the Business Analyst Strategic Portfolio Management role brings not only technical proficiency but also outstanding interpersonal skills that foster collaboration across teams. Your background includes :

  • A bachelor’s degree in business administration, information systems or a related discipline provides you with a solid academic foundation for this role.
  • At least seven years’ experience in business analysis roles equips you with deep practical knowledge of best practices in requirement gathering and stakeholder engagement.
  • A minimum of two years spent in lead or strategic business analysis positions demonstrates your ability to take ownership of complex projects from inception through delivery.
  • Proven track record in implementing enterprise tools—ideally within Strategic Portfolio Management or Project Portfolio Management environments—shows your readiness for this challenge.
  • Hands-on experience with Kiplot or comparable platforms such as Planview, Clarity or ServiceNow SPM is highly desirable for immediate impact.
  • A strong grasp of portfolio governance frameworks ensures you can design processes that support transparency and accountability at every level.
  • Expertise in benefit realisation methodologies enables you to measure project outcomes effectively against organisational objectives.
  • Exceptional facilitation skills allow you to run productive workshops that engage participants from diverse backgrounds.
  • Outstanding communication abilities help you build trust with stakeholders across different markets while translating technical concepts into accessible language.
  • Experience supporting cross-market or regional transformation programmes is considered an advantage as it reflects your adaptability in multicultural settings.
