- Design and roll out robust supplier quality strategies that guarantee all suppliers consistently achieve or surpass ISO 13485, FDA 21 CFR Part 820, EU MDR, and other key regulatory benchmarks.
- Uplift and nurture the APAC Supplier Quality team by creating an atmosphere of accountability, shared learning, skill enhancement, and ongoing improvement.
- Offer strategic vision and technical support to ensure your team’s efforts are perfectly aligned with global supplier quality goals and wider organisational ambitions.
- Champion comprehensive training for all supplier quality engineers and auditors—ensuring they’re always up-to-date with industry best practices, risk management techniques, and evolving compliance requirements.
- Build a high-performing APAC Supplier Quality Team by setting clear development paths, delivering impactful leadership coaching, and implementing effective performance management systems.
- Promote a culture of continuous learning by keeping your team informed about new regulatory changes, emerging technologies in supplier management, and innovative process improvements.
- Spark cross-functional collaboration between Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, Supplier Development Engineering, Procurement, and Operations to strengthen supplier partnerships.
- Lead supplier audits and performance reviews to ensure unwavering compliance with international standards—developing corrective action plans (SCAR), conducting Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and driving meaningful improvement initiatives.
- Work closely with suppliers on process validations, risk reduction projects, defect minimisation efforts—and maintain transparent performance metrics so leadership can see progress at a glance.
- Represent the organisation at industry events, supplier summits, and regulatory forums—advocating for world-class supplier quality practices.
What you bring:
To shine as Supplier Quality Senior Manager APAC you’ll bring rich experience from highly regulated medical device manufacturing settings where you’ve played a pivotal role in large-scale operations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science or Chemical Engineering—or equivalent technical background—with deep knowledge of manufacturing processes relevant to medical devices.
- At least seven years’ experience in Medical Device Quality Operations including four or more years managing high-volume electromechanical device production environments.
- Comprehensive understanding of methods, equipment, processes and techniques specific to Supplier Quality Management within regulated industries such as ISO 13485-compliant settings.
- Proven success implementing best-in-class compliance processes—including risk management frameworks—and staying ahead of evolving regulations like FDA 21 CFR Part 820 or EU MDR.
- Outstanding communication skills that help you build positive relationships across cultures while making complex information accessible for both technical experts and non-specialists alike.
- Excellent analytical abilities paired with practical problem-solving skills—enabling you to quickly identify root causes during audits or investigations then implement sustainable solutions.
- Experience collaborating seamlessly with departments such as Regulatory Affairs R&D Procurement Supplier Development Engineering or Operations on shared supply chain objectives.
