Head of Quality

Are you passionate about food safety and operational excellence? We’re looking for a Head of Quality Assurance (Food Safety & Operations) to lead the charge in ensuring top-tier quality standards across supply chain and operations in Malaysia.

What You’ll Do

As the Head of Quality Assurance, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the company’s food safety and quality agenda. Your key responsibilities include:

Food Safety & Quality Leadership

• Oversee supplier qualification, performance management, and compliance through audits, reviews, and improvement initiatives.
• Establish robust QA frameworks across operations, including SOPs, hygiene standards, audit programs, and training.
• Ensure alignment with industry standards, local regulatory requirements, and halal compliance where applicable.

Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement

• Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure store design, equipment, workflows, and processes meet food safety and efficiency requirements.
• Identify gaps in current practices and drive process simplification while adopting scalable digital solutions.
• Monitor performance using audits, KPIs, and customer feedback to implement corrective actions effectively.

Incident Management & Risk Mitigation

• Lead food safety incident investigations, product recalls, and coordination with internal/external stakeholders.
• Provide guidance on product development initiatives to ensure new offerings meet required standards before launch.

Governance & Team Leadership

• Maintain strong governance through clear policies, documentation, and compliance with evolving regulations.
• Build and lead a capable QA team by setting direction, developing talent, and fostering a balance between compliance and practicality.

What You’ll Bring

We’re seeking an experienced leader who thrives in dynamic environments. The ideal candidate will have:

• A degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Quality Management, or related fields.
• 10–15 years of experience in food safety and quality within multi-site operations or manufacturing environments.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams such as Operations, Supply Chain, and Technical teams.
• Expertise in food safety systems, audits, supplier quality management, incident handling, and regulatory compliance.
• Familiarity with local regulatory requirements (including halal) is advantageous.
