What you'll do:

As a Project Management Engineer based in Penang, you will play a pivotal role in driving successful outcomes for clients engaged in Automation, Smart Manufacturing, and Smart Cities initiatives. Your day-to-day activities will involve engaging directly with customers to understand their requirements, preparing tailored proposals that address their specific needs, conducting solution demonstrations that showcase the value of advanced technologies, and following up diligently to ensure satisfaction. You will review project specifications and schematic drawings to select optimal products for each proposal while actively seeking out new business opportunities through networking and relationship-building. Your responsibilities extend beyond technical support; you will manage projects from inception through delivery by coordinating internal operations, negotiating with partners, supporting sales teams during client visits, and ensuring all technical promises are fulfilled. Additionally, you will provide software support—including WISE-PaaS—to clients across Malaysia and the broader ASEAN region. Success in this role requires not only strong engineering acumen but also excellent interpersonal skills; you will collaborate closely with colleagues from various departments to share insights, solve problems together, and contribute meaningfully to the organisation’s mission.

• Deliver comprehensive pre- and post-sales services to customers, ensuring their satisfaction through attentive support and solution-oriented advice tailored to their unique requirements.
• Build dependable relationships with clients by understanding their needs and offering expert guidance on product selection, system integration, and technical solutions.
• Prepare detailed proposals, conduct solution demonstrations, and follow up with customers to ensure clarity and confidence throughout the project lifecycle.
• Review project specifications, schematic drawings, and select appropriate products for proposals, ensuring all technical aspects align with client expectations.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities by connecting with potential partners and exploring innovative applications for automation technologies.
• Provide software technical support for Automation, Smart Manufacturing, and Smart Cities projects, addressing complex issues efficiently for both internal teams and external customers.
• Support technical issues for DFSI as well as customers based in Malaysia by collaborating closely with stakeholders to resolve challenges promptly.
• Manage projects by coordinating internal operations related to delivery dates, negotiating with partners, co-visiting sales teams, and ensuring all technical commitments are met.
• Offer software technical support including WISE-PaaS solutions across the ASEAN region, facilitating seamless integration and troubleshooting for diverse clients.
• Work collaboratively within cross-functional teams to share knowledge, foster communal problem-solving approaches, and contribute positively to organisational goals.

• Possess at least a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic), Mechatronic/Mechanical Engineering or related fields.
• Demonstrate a minimum of three years’ experience in technical support roles or after-sales services within industrial environments.
• Show proficiency in industrial protocols such as Modbus as well as system integration techniques including basic wiring knowledge.
• Display familiarity with SCADA systems alongside other industrial protocol frameworks; additional expertise here is considered advantageous.
• Exhibit passion for technology coupled with meticulous attention to detail when handling complex engineering tasks.
• Maintain an enthusiastic approach towards learning new technologies while demonstrating unwavering commitment to customer service excellence.
• Apply creative thinking combined with clear understanding of system architecture to generate effective solutions tailored for client needs.
