What you'll do:

  • Drive and oversee key performance indicators (KPIs) as well as progress on engineering improvement projects to ensure alignment with organisational strategies and growth objectives.
  • Set clear objectives and targets for all engineering functions so that timely execution and measurable outcomes support business goals.
  • Identify gaps in processes, personnel, and workplace practices; develop actionable plans through collaborative teamwork to close these gaps.
  • Play a central role in presenting manufacturing processes to customers by highlighting capabilities in manufacturability and quality assurance.
  • Recommend ergonomically capable manufacturing equipment and processes to management based on thorough data analysis and justification.
  • Develop alternative solutions for challenges including automation initiatives by incorporating ideas from diverse team members.
  • Support executive decision-making with appropriate risk management strategies while maintaining transparency in communication.
  • Ensure optimal application of technology and engineering resources to achieve product development objectives as well as manufacturing process capability requirements.
  • Lead the engineering team in implementing formal processes for continual process improvement that supports both legacy products and new product introductions.

  • Extensive experience managing high-mix low-volume PCBA & Box Build manufacturing environments with broad exposure across engineering disciplines.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of ISO 9001; ISO 14001; ISO 13485; IATF16949; US FDA 21 CFR Part 820 standards combined with strong analytical abilities for compliance management.
  • Proven ability to supervise both technical and non-technical teams while fostering a collaborative atmosphere that encourages knowledge sharing.
  • Expertise in applying SWOT analysis techniques to address issues related to personnel or operational challenges within engineering departments.
  • Demonstrated capacity for understanding financial objectives and achieving stated output or revenue targets through strategic planning.
  • Advanced skills in reading electronic and mechanical engineering drawings for accurate specification review.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills enabling you to coach employees effectively for improved performance while maintaining a pleasant work environment.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with internal and external stakeholders at all levels ensuring mutual understanding of goals and expectations.
