Your days will be filled with dynamic collaboration—working closely with sales teams during quotation preparation, actively contributing to technical evaluations for new projects, and rolling up your sleeves for hands-on 3D/2D design execution. You’ll play a crucial part in adapting global concepts for local implementation while ensuring quality control at every step. Regular interaction with cross-regional engineering teams means you’ll always be learning and sharing best practices. On top of that, you’ll provide invaluable support during assembly and commissioning phases—solving problems as they arise—and take charge of meticulous documentation. • Spot potential design risks early in the process and suggest effective solutions that keep projects running smoothly and efficiently.
  • Customise headquarter designs for local manufacturing needs, optimising each solution for maximum efficiency while meeting regional standards.
  • Take ownership of 3D mechanical designs and produce thorough 2D detailing using top-tier software tools like SolidWorks, Inventor, or AutoCAD.
  • Uphold impeccable design quality by following internal engineering standards closely and managing changes throughout the project timeline.
  • Join regular design reviews to guarantee alignment with corporate processes (such as VDA) and maintain exceptional accuracy across all deliverables.
  • Synchronise closely with headquarter mechanical teams for technical alignment, sharing updates and participating in engaging cross-regional review meetings.
  • Be present on-site during assembly and commissioning phases, lending your expertise to troubleshoot and resolve any mechanical challenges that arise.
  • Keep documentation flawless by maintaining up-to-date records of drawings, bills of materials (BOM), photos, and other essential documents on internal servers.

What you bring:

To flourish as a Mechanical Design Engineer here, you’ll bring hands-on experience designing automation systems or bespoke machinery within fast-evolving industries. Your background should showcase significant time spent modelling and drafting using leading CAD platforms like SolidWorks or Inventor. A deep understanding of pneumatic components, motion control systems, structural frameworks, and fixture integration will empower you to develop practical yet imaginative solutions tailored perfectly to customer needs. Your ability to communicate clearly—both verbally and through documentation—will help foster smooth collaboration across regions. Your commitment to rigorous documentation standards ensures everything stays organised throughout each phase of the project. Adaptability is key; you’ll feel right at home navigating shifting priorities while keeping your focus on delivering outstanding results that align beautifully with organisational goals.

  • A bachelor’s degree or higher qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline is required to ensure foundational technical knowledge.
  • At least five years’ proven experience working on automation or customised equipment design projects is essential for handling complex assignments independently.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard CAD software such as SolidWorks, Inventor, or AutoCAD enables you to create precise 3D models and detailed 2D drawings efficiently.
  • Familiarity with pneumatic systems, motion mechanisms, structural design principles, and fixture design allows you to address diverse technical challenges confidently.
  • Experience working on full-line or large-scale equipment projects is highly desirable as it demonstrates your ability to manage end-to-end solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills in English or Mandarin are necessary for effective participation in technical discussions with both local colleagues and international teams.
  • A collaborative mindset combined with strong problem-solving abilities ensures you can contribute positively within multidisciplinary project environments.
